Golden Ship Hotel

7月〜8月にかけて開催されるEsports World Cupというイベントで、イベント参加者のサポートスタッフとして滞在するために宿泊しました。
ここにした理由はイベント参加者が泊まるHiltonに近かったためです。

レビューの結論として、オススメはしませんが、日本人が泊まっても大きな問題はないでしょう。
最後の2点がなければ星5つのうち4つはつけたのですが...スタッフのクラスアップに力を注いでほしいものです。

1) 部屋が広い
2) ロビーが広く休憩スペースが多数設置
3) ラグジュアリーホテルマン並みのホスピタリティをもつスタッフが1名いた ※名前を聞かなかったことが心残り...
4) ビュッフェ形式の朝食は美味しい方だった
5) 近場のショッピングモールで生活用品が揃う(Granada Mall)

悪かった点
1) 全体的に建物が古い(特に部屋の内装)
2) シャワーからお湯が出なくなった
3) なぜかキーカードが使えなくなりフロントへ交換しに行くはめになった

特に悪かった点
1) ランドリーサービスに預けたら紛失された(まあこれは海外あるある)
2) 延泊を申し出たにも関わらず手続きされていなかったことに加え、連絡もなしに私物が持ち出されていた

Truly nothing exceptional. I won't be returning to this hotel. The breakfast was quite limited, and the quality left much to be desired. What bothered me the most was that I didn’t have hot water in my shower (Room 1128 or 1125). Despite my requests, I was told I needed to wait 20 minutes for hot water... I'm still waiting. (I think each room has an independent water heater, and mine probably wasn’t working.) In short, no solution was provided, and since the hotel was fully booked, I couldn’t change rooms.

In 2024, in Riyadh, this is simply unacceptable.

Additionally, the rooms located 'inside' the ship have no windows! The windows are well-drawn, but they don’t provide access to the outside, only to a wall with LED lights behind it. This is quite claustrophobic and anxiety-inducing, especially if you're prone to claustrophobia.
That said, I’ll admit the rooms are spacious.

In conclusion, I stayed here for a professional exhibition, but I won’t be coming back to this hotel

If you want to live near the Northern Ring Road and Eastern Road areas, this hotel is a good option. The proximity to Granada Mall made things easy for me. It is just a 7-minute walk away, and everything that you need is available.
My only suggestion will be to improve the breakfast menu. It's not the number of items or the variety. It's the taste of the cooked items. Lacks flavour, and the chef should be able to improve the taste of the blandish food.

Was a good hotel , clean , tidy , room suite was good , near airport , near to shops 5 min walk away. Entertainment boulevard was 25 minutes away . Food was good buffet style , Liesure facilities need a spruce up and check in needs to be friendlier . Otherwise all good .

It was a great stay at the Golden Ship. Very unexpected amenities and extras in the room that made it a pleasure to stay there.

Not many of the staff speak English which is unfortunate, but not much else negative to say as I am sure this will change over the coming years.

Good hotel. Staff is polite. Clean hotel.
Negatives. The room had a water flood so carpet was washed out and has some smell. Clearly it was treated but not enough.
Only one type of pillows in hotel. It was uncomfortable for me.
