Jetwing Mahesa Bhawan

Wir haben zwei Nächte im Jetwing Mahesa Bhawan verbracht und waren rundum begeistert. Das Hotel besticht durch seine elegante Architektur und die ruhige Atmosphäre, die perfekt zur Erholung einlädt. Unser Zimmer war großzügig, makellos sauber und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen.

Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam, immer bereit, Wünsche zu erfüllen und Tipps für die Umgebung zu geben. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die hervorragende Küche: das Frühstück wie auch die Abendessen waren frisch, abwechslungsreich und von höchster Qualität.

Die Lage in Jaffna ist ideal, um die Stadt und ihre Kultur zu entdecken, gleichzeitig auch bietet das Hotel eine Oase der Ruhe. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die Komfort, Gastfreundschaft und authentische Erlebnisse suchen.

Boutique hotel with a personal service

I only stayed one day, but was a beautiful place I would come back with more family, and hire it privately

It was absolute bliss. We were three couples travelling together and we had the entire house to ourselves. The bedrooms were super clean and the beds were very comfortable.
The staff (especially Janakan) were incredibly attentive, lovely and made everything work beautifully.
There really was nothing we lacked.
The breakfast prepared by Mihla was delicious and so personal.
If you are looking for an intimate and local experience then I couldn’t recommend this enough. If you prefer big hotels with a resteraunt/breakfast buffet then I think the other Jetwing in Jaffna is probably more for you.

A beautifully decorated and perfectly maintained property including a lovely pool. We were looked after by very attentive staff in particular Janakan who was so kind and helpful. The food was delicious and we will definitely plan to return!

Mahesa Bhagwan was the highlight of our time in Sri Lanka without a doubt - if you are tossing up whether to book, I hope this review convinces you! I am so happy I booked this place and feel it was absolutely worth every penny - every time we returned after a busy day exploring Jaffna, it felt like coming home to an oasis. It is a simple and beautifully restored house but every detail of your stay is seen to. The staff at Mahesa are an absolute credit to Jetwing, they absolutely made our stay wonderful with unparalleled hospitality. They were very helpful with additional requests such as finding bus timetables and arranging tuk tuks. I recommend having a meal or two at the house - prepared by their lovely cook in Jaffna style. The breakfast was also delicious.

Potentially the villa is nice, colonial feeling

The villa offers a personal butler and a personal chef for your stay. You can wish for any food you like and they will make everything from scratch for you. There is also a private swimming pool and backyard. The whole accommodation is five star european standard clean! Janakan, Mehkala and Ramesh took great care of us, we felt better than at home. Will definitely come back!
