Being it was NYE, would have preferred if the kitchen stayed open a little longer. But otherwise it was great.
Recently completed a 3 night stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay. We found the service to be excellent from check-in to check out. After checkin we were greeted at our room by staff asking if we needed extra water, an iron and ironing board etc. That was a really nice touch. The room (regular king room) was very spacious with ample storage space. The bathroom set up was great and the shower was really great with several options including an overhead rain head. The maintenance of the hotel is excellent, the room including the entry door and carpets and walls did not show any wear and tear. Our room had a partial view of the mountains. I liked the location of the hotel..we took several day trips and we found the location to be very central. The common areas of the hotel are nicely furnished and also in good condition. The free coffee in the lobby each morning is also a nice touch. Housekeeping did a great job making up the room each day.
My only request of the hotel would be to expand the menu in the casual restaurant and lower the prices. $32 for a burger is over the top. We didn’t spend any money at the hotel outside our room charge because of the high cost.
The Conrad Los Angeles is one of our favorite hotels anywhere! The front desk staff is so welcoming and friendly. They want to make every stay special. At the concierge desk, Oliver and Jei are fantastic. The rooms are lovely and relaxing and the pool is beautiful. We miss Agua Viva but love San Laurel. Everyone in the restaurant is equally as welcoming and anxious to make all guests’ experiences wonderful. The food is exceptional both for breakfast and for dinner. The location is great - right across from the beautiful Disney Concert Hall and a short walk to Grand Central Market. We can’t wait to return!
Had a truly magical two-night stay here as a Hilton Diamond Member in a beautiful studio room overlooking downtown Los Angeles. Was my first stay here, and it won't be my last. Was welcomed nicely in the beautiful lobby on the 10th floor for the week of Thanksgiving 2025. Soon after arriving in my beautiful, ultra-clean, and well appointed room on the 15th floor, I received a little Conrad bear plush. I had emailed their concierge in advance that I enjoy collecting them from Conrad properties from around the world. They also brought me three celebration cupcakes and a nice card as a little gift for a recent promotion.
Tried room service for dinner as well as the San Laurel restaurant for breakfast both days. The service and food quality were simply spectacular. Every member of the staff was so welcoming and kind to me throughout my stay. The turndown service was a nice touch, and the housekeeping was truly incredible. Slept so well both nights with the blackout shades and quiet, cozy room. Enjoyed their fantastic fitness center as well as relaxing, quiet locations near the pool for reading.
Cannot wait to return in the future. You also can't beat the location right down the street from the train station and the heart of Los Angeles as well. I rank this property right up there with the Conrad properties in Hong Kong, London, and Dublin. They do lots of little things right and strive to leave lasting memories on all their guests.
Very comfortable room at a great size. The bed was wonderful. Great location and delicious breakfast.
The had the room ready for early check in and it was much appreciated. Enjoyed having an espresso machine in the room.
The water pressure in the shower can be improved ( the shower itself was nicely designed ). Only have the option of valet parking.
Edited: second stay on 11.22.2025. Room condition improved compared to last time. Turn-down service still requires a separate request.
Ice bucket arrived after 30 minutes despite the front desk stating “approximately 10 minutes.”
Requested the house car the next day for a 5-minute ride. Front desk confirmed with valet. Once downstairs, we were told the house car was unavailable. Another staff member later approached, confirmed we were waiting for the house car, then proceeded to assist multiple groups who arrived after us.
We waited more than 10 minutes for a 5-minute ride. No apology, no explanation.
First stay on 9.8.2025: The location is excellent — right next to Walt Disney Concert Hall and within walking distance to The Broad, Angels Flight, and Grand Central Market. The lobby is beautiful and calming, filled with natural light, wood accents, and greenery. The pool is large and minimalistic, a great spot to relax under the LA sun.
I booked through Amex FHR with Hilton Diamond status. Although I only received a one-level upgrade, I was given a room with a direct view of the Concert Hall, which was lovely.
Sydney at the front desk was especially kind — she even prepared a handwritten birthday card and made sure it was delivered as a surprise while I was dining at the hotel restaurant. That gesture was truly thoughtful and memorable.
However, I was disappointed with several details that negatively impacted the stay:
1. The room had a loud high pitch whistling wind noise from the window. I called for repair but no one showed up after one hour. I called again asking for a room change, but was told there were no available rooms despite the website showing availability. Eventually someone came to fix it by overtightening the window lock but the window handle could only be left hanging.
2. No turndown service was provided when I got back to the room at 8pm, and when I inquired, I was told housekeeping had already finished for the day. This was a first for me at an FHR collection property.
3. The minibar cabinet was warped, preventing the fridge door from closing properly, which caused ice buildup and water leakage onto the floor.
4. Despite confirming my guaranteed 4pm checkout through FHR, housekeeping entered my room before the time while all my belongings were still inside. I felt disrespected.
On the positive side, the staff were generally kind and welcoming, and the on-site restaurant San Laurel delivered excellent meals.
Overall, Conrad Los Angeles has great potential and wonderful public spaces, but the lack of attention to detail and service consistency made the stay fall short of expectations for a property of this caliber. I look forward to having a better experience when I come back in the future.
