Over the years I have stayed at Redrose Hotel in HISARANU with friends and family.
It is a small family run hotel quiet but a 2 minute walk away from the bars and restaurants.
The rooms are spotless, the pool is pretty and surrounded by fruit trees and beautiful flowers.
The owners Suleyman and his daughter Janna are lovely, they great their guests warmly - even remembering us although we hadn't been for years!
Nothing is too much trouble, they bend over backwards to make guests feel comfortable. Excellent breakfasts and good value.
They have a lot of returning guests, and new ones via word and mouth, which says a lot.
Lovely people, beautiful and conveniently situated - short stroll from the craziness on the strip, and a great place to wind down and relax.
Highly recommended,
Annette and Danielle
It's been closed for a few years but now back open, a bit different but still very nice, rooms very nice, staff very helpful and friendly, on the beach, nice breakfast, lovely pool with slides, would stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Albos Hotel. The manageress, Sule, was very friendly, helpful and speaks excellent English. The pool with children's slides is excellent with plenty of sunbeds/parasols. There had been a recent fire in the outside kitchen and restaurant area which did not affect us. We were given the option to change acommodation but decided to stay at the Albos and were glad we did. Breakfast was provided in an alternative dining room and was buffet style with good choice. Plenty of onsite parking available. Rooms are reasonable size but shower cubicles smallish. Low sound volume on TV in room with only English language channel being BBC World News. Ground floor rooms wheelchair/buggy friendly with just two steps to access. Wifi in rooms OK. Safety Deposit boxes at reception cost £1.00 per day. Didn't find ATM in resort but hotel changes cash. The hotel is in a very good location for the beach and also has good access for wheelchairs/buggies on boardwalks. Showers and toilets available on beach and two sunbeds and a parasol cost TL5 (£1.10) per day. Safe, gently shelving, sandy beach. Very well stocked small supermarket two minutes walk away. Lots of restaurants nearby and more at the other end of the bay (20 minute walk) by the river. Cavus Bay is a very quiet, low key resort ideal for a relaxing holiday. Water sports and boat trips are available as well as trips to various attractions, historical sites etc. in the area.
Chose the Albos as our hotel from last year had been damaged by fire and we weren't sure whether they would be ready in time.
Excellent value for money.
Extremely quiet and the honeysuckle smells delightful as we came home in the evening
Some noise after 8am where they are attempting to clear the damage from the fire
A 5* it is not! Basic and small but in the beautiful weather who wants to stay in the hotel all the time?
Shower adequate but in need of a few minor repairs but these are minimal complaints.
Staff very attentive and helpful.Everybody had a "Good morning" and its to my shame that I never learned the Turkish equivalent
Breakfast typically Turkish though very tasty omelettes were made to order.
Yards from the beach and the swimming pool behind the hotel was lovely.
My only gripe is that a few times we ate at the restaurant at the front of the hotel and though the food was tasty the chips always came up cold.
Seriously thinking of booking again in 2015!!
This hotel is in fact in Adrasan almost on the beach and not in Kumluca which is the region. I hope Travel Advisor will note this and change the address as it is the best family hotel by far but not listed as Adrasan!Anyway we are a family with two boys now four and five and this is our second year at Otel Albos. It is family run and nothing is too much trouble for any of the family to do or organize. The support staff are excellent led by "YC" who is a real winner with the children and adults alike. We had a two bedroom unit which was always scrupulously clean and also enabled us to monitor the children who had to enter and exit through our room. The hotel gardens are beautiful and well kept with a first class pool with slides etc. The sandy beach is twenty meters from the hotel entrance and the sea is very safe for children. Not so keen on the local council trying to charge for the sun beds this year but the cost was minimal. The food in the hotel is very good - we ate chicken, sausages, chips etc with the children poolside for lunch and then in the evenings mainly grilled lamb, fish and BBQ with good salads. This is a very family place for people with children as there is nothing to do locally but great if you want to chill out and enjoy a family holiday with pool and beach.
We have two boys 3 and 4 and they loved this hotel as did we.
We had two communicating rooms which were very very clean with comfortable beds.
Swimming pool is excellent with toddler play area and water slides plus the beach is a few metres from the front of the hotel. Very clean sand when we arrived but not quite so good in July when we left owing to the increase in holiday makers. Nevertheless safe sea and beach with free umbrellas and sun beds. The family who own and run the hotel are very attentive and fix any little problem quickly. They and their staff are most friendly and the children were well looked after by the staff. Good English spoken by the owners and some of the staff so never any problem. Food was good but could do with more variety of Turkish cuisine. Nothing to do in the evening which was fine for us. If you have a young family this is the place.
We stayed at the Albos and had a wonderful time. The staff are brilliant and the family truly great. We were looked after so well. Lovely hotel, food and rooms. The most relaxing holiday I have had, ever. Thank you all at the Albos. See you next year.
Our second visit to the hotel and again it was great. Beach is fantastic and the staff are friendly.
Clean rooms and the food is good. Very good value for money.
Weather was also nice for the time of year
Been to the Albos many times and its still Great, on the beach, good pool area, good resturant, and great bar, yuo will be looked after by real, nice, people, who will go out of there way to help you, cavus is a great village but its getting bigger so nows the time to go.
Area is beautiful and the place seemed ok. Its in a beautiful area. Rooms are nice and the place is appropriately priced.
Great hotel. Our second time he. Very clean great food was& service. Value for money
Cavus bay is growing but the amount of visitors is not, about 5 new hotels but the Albos stands out, small family run in the perfect spot, if you are looking for a quite holiday in a great hotel and village then you must look at cavus bay and the albos.
We checked in and after 2 min. they took our bags to our rooms. The rooms are big and very nice and clean. Not far from the beach and very nice for a stay with a family.
Friendly and informal staff make you feel immediately at home. Food was superb. Gardens and grounds are beautiful, very well maintained. Very quiet in the bay if you prefer that, there are watersports and lots of other restaurants, some beach-front shops and souvenir places. Roughly 2 hours drive from Antalya airport, going through the mountains at 3 in the morning was exciting. The pool area was well looked after and always clean. The waiters enjoy practicing their English and don't mind if you try some Turkish out on them. It's advisable to eat after dark because of the insects but during August it gets dark at about 8pm.
This a nice area, away from it all, so no good if you want night life of any sort. Fine for us! A long way from the airport so expect a 2 hour (nerve-wracking) taxi drive. The resort is surrounded by lovely green mountains and is great to look back on when you swim out to sea. The beach and resort as a whole need a clean up. Cigarette butts litter thebeach and there was rubbish in small heaps here and there in the service road. The hotel has its own section of beach with sun-loungers which are always available. During the week very peaceful but noisier at weekends because of local people using the beach. The water was very warm (in August) but not really clean. We saw locals chucking their cigarette butts into the water, a few cans and cups on the sea-floor and more than once we saw floating lumps of poo which were fished out by staff. Yuck!
The hotel itself was ok. Rooms basic but clean, although there was only a fridge in one of them. The air-con was a little erratic and a few things were wrong with one room, such as a faulty toilet and slow-draining shower. When these were reported the reception lady wasn't as helpful as she could have been. Good pool and usually very quiet. The breakfasts were basic but ample. The evening menu was limited, a good choice of meze items every night but the same chicken, lamb, veg kebab items for main courses. Normally only water melon for sweet but sometimes grapes and peaches. Only on one night did we get baklava. When we asked for wine we weren't given a choice, except red or white. When we asked how much it was we were told it was £18. Ouch! We struggled to be understood by the waiters when choosing but they were all very friendly and helpful. One tip for non-smokers - if you don't like eating among smokers you may be disappointed because in Turkey most people smoke and in the restaurants, certainly in the Albos, they don't enforce any no smoking policy. As for the climate, it was very hot while were there; 37-40 degrees, but also really humid. You should go earlier or later in the season if you don't like this sort of weather. Take flippers and snorkels and you may be lucky enough to see turtles feeding only 10 or so meters out to sea as we did. Oh! And make sure that if you book an excursion don't wait in the place you are told to wait. We did and then missed the boat (literally) and then we got the blame for not finding the place were the others had been told to wait.
Cavus / Adrasan is a great little place for those looking to get away from it all.
The Albos is in a good location with it's own section of beach serviced by the hotel. Never actually used the pool as the lovely beach was just across the tiny road. Room size was relatively large and comfortable for Turkey. The breakfasts were basic but fine, but the evening meals were very good, although nothing beats the Paradise Cafe.
This is not for those seeking a lively holiday like Marmaris or Bodrum.
Have been to the albos about 10 times, even got married there 3 years ago, for what it is, it is great, its a small famliy run hotel that looks after all who come to stay, they can not do enought for you, food is good, rooms are just to sleep in, dont need t.v. mini bar,The Famliy and all staff at the albos are very good at what they do and that is to give you the best holiday you can have, cavus is very quite, but so nice, just remember your in a small village in turkey.
My wife and I had a great 10 days here ... the staff, apart from the owners, don't have much English but are always friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are basic but the evening menu is amongst the best in Cavus Bay.
Bulunt Bostan and his cousin Dennis who run the place go out of their help to help organize trips, taxis, excursions etc.
The resort itself could do with a bit of a facelift and a smarten-up but then the prices would probably rise accordingly and as it stands, the Albos/Cavus experience is great value for a quiet and relaxing week away ...
Great location in a special part of Turkey where time has stood still . Relaxed atmosphere good facilities , nice pool and gardens and a spectacular beach with amazing mountain backdrop. The hotel is well run, clean and the family and staff are helpful and efficient . A great feature is the free transfer to and from the airport as long as you stay 7 nights . The family room was perfect with 2 bathrooms efficient air con and two balconys . Breakfast was good with fresh fruit bread and eggs . Not overly impressed with restaurant as portions were rather small . But generally speaking this is a great hotel ,right on the beach., run by a nice family who want to provide a good service which they do well. Excellent value and if we return to this area (which i hope we do ) I would stay here again . Adrasan is a unique place where the roads are still not made up , there are no fancy bars and it fairly rural which is exactly what we wanted as its closer to how many Med resorts were 20 years ago - I hope it doesn't change too much . Boat trips were well worth doing and the local restaurants reasonable in price . Children found a baby turtle on beach and helped it to the sea which was a highlight .
