My stay at Mariliss Hill Hotel was honestly awful from start to finish. The food was terrible and repetitive, and hardly anyone spoke English, which made communication frustrating.
The bar had only two alcoholic drinks available — completely unacceptable for a supposed resort. The shower kept losing hot water, and when I asked for help, no one did anything. The room was freezing cold, and in October the temperature outside wasn’t much better. Instead of proper bedding, I was actually given towels to sleep with.
The pool water was absolutely freezing — below comfortable temperature. When we asked if it could be heated, the staff just said “it’s okay,” even though no one could actually go in because it was so cold.
Overall, this hotel was a total disappointment. Poor service, bad food, no comfort, and zero effort to make guests happy. I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone no value for money.
Had a great time with lovely staff, great pool and entertainment every night! Beautiful room with a gorgeous view. Thank you again Alisa for such a fun time!
The hotel is absolutely disgusting so dirty and I mean dirty ! The food was so bad the worst I’ve ever experienced in all inclusive we were warned by another guest to not eat it his partner was in bed very poorly with food poisoning. This hotel is in the niddle of nowhere with nothing to do what old never ever visit here again
Geeat gospitality and relexing atmosphere. Evverything very good. The snimation theme deliver somr activities each day. Nice shops sround. So relax and enjoy and let the fun come to you
Arriving at the hotel at 1am we were told we had to go to another hotel until 10am and then they would pick us back up. No food was offered, only bonus is the hotel they took us too had a 24/7 hour bar.
The food wasn’t great, feel like they don’t cater for the english guests. Most lunches and night time meals we had chicken wings and chips. A few night they only did fish or if you don’t go down before 7/7:30pm there isn’t anything left on the bbq. Only bonus is, over the road they have 2 restaurants. The palm is the best! Cocktails and food was gorgeous and spent most our evenings here unless you get a taxi into Alanya which cost us around 2,000 lira there and 2,000 back.
In the day we did enjoy it, the pools are fairly small but it is a small resort so make sure your towels are down before 10am. Staff were lovely even though spoke very little English, they still do try get you involved.
The rooms were clean and you can ask for them to be cleaned from a little device in your room. Air con worked perfect and hygiene wasn’t an issue.
Shame the food left it down and the fact you are miles away from any night life.
We arrived at the hotel just after 11pm and they said our room wasn't ready. They put us in a lovely room but no balcony and looking over the rubbish outside. However, next day, as promised, we were moved into a room with a balcony. The pool area had music blaring everyday. Even with our ear pods on full volume we could still here it. We complained numerous times and spoke to a senior manager and despite it stating in every travel site guests can have a relaxing time you can't!! The senior manager was rude but did his reply via Google translate saying basicly its what the guests want and is not known for a relaxing hotel. Total joke. It also states on their travel websites advertising the hotel that there is a mini bar however there is not. It's literally a small empty fridge. It also states that there is tea and coffee making facilities. Tea bags, sugar and paper cups but no coffee available. The food is very repetitive and consistently cold. They had a microwave but I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole as it was so dirty.
At the main pool bar a guy worked there called Halil who was outstanding. He works until 4pm and is so accomadating. However a younger guy takes over at 4pm and we went one night to get a drink and he was on his phone texting and we had to wait until he had finished texting before he served us. So rude. Also at any bar you get small glasses for any soft drink, if you get beer you get a plastic glass, doesn't make sense really. Our sink started to leek on the Thursday night reported it guy came said it was fixed was leaking again on the friday meant to have been fixed but again on the saturday was leaking again. It was eventually fixed on the saturday. Evening meal times 18.30-20.30 so we tried to always go around 6.30pm right after the pool so at least had a chance of getting luke warm food.
The water slides were good however, the pool opened at 9am shut at 6pm slides operated 10am until noon then 2pm until 4pm.
They have clearly used pictures from a different hotel as the beach is nothing like it. There were cigarette butts everywhere and overflowing bins. The beach picture is a lovely beautiful sandy beach...nope nothing like that is a pebble beach and sore to walk on.
I would advise anyone to avoid this hotel. This is our experience and we did read good reviews and genuinely couldn't understand how. We spoke to numerous other guest who were all agreeing with us.
The hotel was the team were really engaging and supportive, hosting lots of activities to get involved with while staying. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the bar had lots of options available with the all inclusive. The animators were always hosting fun games to join in. Cool super
Honestly I’ve read so many reviews on this hotel & actually thought you get people who moan about every but my gosh I wish I listened.. We thought we’d do a last minute deal & it turns out it wasn’t a Deal after all. This hotel is definitely not 5*. The hotel is 3* maximum. On arrival we were given a room that was so small you couldn’t move. We went straight to reception & was told to go back the next morning, we did & got upgraded to a larger room which was fantastic & modern. The cups given in your room are paper for your morning cuppa. They only give you flavoured tea, no normal tea bags, coffee or milk. There is no mini bar as stated. There is 2 bars which are all inclusive however they serve 3 nasty cocktails with cheap alcoholic, effes and cheap spirits. I don’t drink much but a nice drink would have been nice on occasion. This hotel is Ultra all inclusive apparently, the a le carte restaurant hasn’t been open for years so you’re stuck with the main restaurant which is absolutely disgusting. A lot of the food isn’t labelled & it’s cold. Everything had to be microwaved. The microwave was rammy I had to as staff on more than one occasion to clean it. It had a layer of grease & hair on the top & food splatter inside. The snack bar only served burgers & cold chips. They have a bar called the Irish bar which again hasn’t been opened for years. The pool area was clean & tidy. Very loud music which I don’t mine but the playlist is repetitive. I’d been ill 3 times in 10 days staying. If you’ve booked here the best place to eat is the little restaurant to the left of the hotel as you come out or Palm restaurant. The beach is rocky all the way into the sea so take some beach shoes. It’s a nice break from the hotel. Definitely would recommend this place it’s not great.
The rooms were great, 9 of us went so 3 per room and spacious, The beds are comfortable. However the food was terrible we had to eat out, we ate chips, rice and pasta for lunch every day. The bar in the lobby run out of alcohol on two days, when going to the bar we could only have one drink at a time, they have branded bottles on show however all empty. Bazar across the road had 2 restaurant the food was amazing. The rep was very helpful and arranged a free transfer to a restaurant. Pools were clean plenty of sun beds, towels are available 10 euro deposit required. Spa treatments were fantastic and reasonably priced. Would never go back to this hotel again.
The room was clean and spacious however you can hear everything in the rooms next door and upstairs.
Location- only place located nearby is the shopping district …. Not many restaurants nearby.
When it gets dark outside there main pool bar needs light on each table or something cause you can barely see eachother it’s ridiculous.
The activities are only during the day so it leaves the evening to basically drink and wait for the show which doesn’t start till 10pm and the show seemed to be the same thing most days, a longer show would be better…
The food - what can I say, not good for fussy eaters, i enjoyed it myself but my partner didn’t like anything, all they had was chicken, turkey and meatballs, being in turkey he expected there to be kebab meat.
The beach was very rocky and not cleaned regularly so always had rubbish around.
This is not 5* service, I would say more a 3* resort.
Situated in a good place as the shopping bit opposite is good and not badly priced places.
The snack bar only had burgers and chips at the pool and the beach did pizza (different flavours every day) and chips. The beach’s snacks were better. The ice cream was a bit naff, chocolate or vanilla only.
Drinks were amazing, bar staff always remembered me and what I wanted and they seem to work nonstop. The pool bar really needed 2 staff members not 1 though.
The pool is a bit tiny and the slides were not on all the time which sucked ….
Things to make the hotel a 5* service ;
Bigger pool
More of an option for food, if they are gonna do fish then do prawns aswell or shrimp or lobster
More activities to do- the booking said the hotel had boardgames and they didn’t whatsoever, entertainment should be most of the afternoon into the evening so there is always something to do
Better snacks, more of a range in both pool snack bar and beach pool bar
Beach - clean it
Another thing to mention - we booked an excursion for land of legends night show through the hotel rep, if you’re think of doing it , don’t … the driver picked us up before the show even started so we didn’t even see the show, 2 hour drive for food and shopping , I would suggest if you want to go land of legends to stay in Antalya as it wouldn’t be much of a journey for nothing. But it was good priced £30pp.
The shuttle service in turkey is overall a bad experience in all honesty drivers not speaking English or telling you where you are what the first hotel is and how long it will be. A intenary of the drop off would have been Handy or at-least an English speaking translator or something
The hotel definitely does not meet the 5-star level, I would give it 3 stars.
The food is weak — it’s hard to find something truly tasty, and the cleanliness and appearance of the tableware leave much to be desired: many dishes are chipped or stained.
On the other hand, the pools are very clean and nice, and the sea is simply wonderful.
Overall, the impression of the trip is positive, but that’s thanks to the people, not the hotel itself.
İslam and the other animators work really hard — they are doing a great job 😇
Sending them our greetings 😉
Shocking. Food half warm same old every day CHICKEN, cooled several ways, staff especially reception, no better than theives!took 800.tl for deposit om.towels and could not get back, even though we had recept and the cards for two towels, bloody disgrace. Half the amenities, indoor pool, Irish bar, not working as been out for a year!very little if nothing to do outside the hotel.. nope definitely not 5 more 2/3.. be mindful..be careful, and watch out for the young thief on the desk!
Alisa is very lovely and kind, she’s so helpful with everything and made us feel welcome.
Sports at the pool really good she’s such a good dancer, Ali is very nice and good too.
Animation team is lovely, so is Islam .
The reception staff are wonderful.
Me and my friends will be back.
Will miss Alisa and Ali !
Beach good, the rooms are comfortable, the shows are entertained, the programs are perfect, and thank you for the animators team for the shows, the waterpool, darts, ping -pong. They were perfect.
Hotel was more like a 3 star than a 5, wasn’t very clean and food was terrible and the same everyday so we had to eat out everyday. If it wasn’t for the animation team the rating would have been lower, alisa was amazing she took us to the clubs which were brilliant. The staff were friendly but I wouldn’t return.
Very nice hotel great people ali good man very friendly helpful and kind great place highly recommend food is very nice air con is good bar are good water sport pool is great animated are the best most fun water polo darts good music ping pong volley ball yoga tonight animated kings show every night Turkish dance show thank you for your love anitmater team the. Est
* The staff is friendly and enthusiastic. Although it's hard to communicate in English with some staff members, we were able to get our point across.
* Our room toilet was very smelly. Something from sewage. Room itself was good, the only problem was that smell. Had to constantly leave our balcony open to ventilate.
* Drinks are fine. Try have alcohol in them, which for a free drinks are really good. You can definitely get drunk of those.
* Pool is clean, those black chairs are very comfortable. Strangely water was a bit cold for me in 35°C, but that's a me problem.
* The beach is bad. Plenty of stones, you can easily cut your feets in it. The chairs definitely seen some stuff.
* Snacks near the pool and beach were great, that burger was awesome. Would definitely come back for it.
* Shows in the evening were cool. Liked that light show. Has its charm and definitely something you need to see.
* Food is repetitive, but each day there is something new to try. I mostly got what I know I like and was fine with it. Skewers at dinner were awesome.
Overall 4.5/5
The rooms are good, fresh, there’s a daily cleaning
The food is a little monotonous but tidy
The beach is private and quite big for a hotel with room capacity like that
The beach is mostly sandy but with pebbles closer to the water so the special shoes might be required
The animation is also good, they’re very friendly and communicative, there’s always some activities on the hotel territory
The general service is also good, the staff speaks multiple languages and is always ready to help
I arrived at the Marilis Hill resort Hotel in Turkey with my 10‑month‑old baby at 3 AM, exhausted from travel and hoping for a smooth check‑in. Instead, I was met by a receptionist who was ASLEEP at the desk. When he finally woke up, he looked confused and disoriented and took ages to acknowledge my presence. He then told me there were no rooms available — despite me having a confirmed and fully paid booking.
I was left waiting in the lobby with my tired, hungry, and distressed baby for hours. I was told I had to wait until 9 AM for the manager, who never arrived. Meanwhile, people came in after me and were given rooms immediately, even though I was promised one. Every time I asked about my room, I was told it was still “being cleaned” — this went on for hours.
Around 12 PM, completely exhausted, overwhelmed, and in tears, I demanded to speak with the manager. When she finally appeared, she was rude, dismissive, and completely lacking
We stayed at The Marilis Hill Resort Hotel & SPA for a few nights and had a nice time. The hotel isn’t too big, which gave it a calm, laid-back vibe. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked surprisingly well even in the room.
Food at the hotel was fine but got repetitive pretty quickly. Luckily, there’s a great place just a short walk away—Doruk Restoran Cafe & Bar—definitely worth checking out if you want a change.
The animation team was honestly the best part of the stay. Big shoutout to Melih—he had amazing energy and always made sure people were enjoying themselves. There are shows in the evening, and for those who want to keep the night going, the animators take guests to clubs (there’s a fee, of course).
The hotel has a private beach, but it's a bit far to walk. Luckily, a free shuttle goes every hour. The staff in general were friendly and helpful. Bars were open decent hours (pool bar until 23:00, lobby bar until 02:00), but not all bartenders were great—only a couple could make good cocktails.
Overall, it was a fun and relaxed holiday. A few small things could be improved, but we enjoyed our time there.
