It was ok, but for the price not great value.
Pros:

Nice comfortable bed

Cons:

Limited reception hours, inconvenient. Tea /coffee facilities on the landing instead of in the room. Also inconvenient. Interiors are dark. It was difficult trying to see well.

Absolutely worth it. Will be going back!
Pros:

The rooms are surprisingly big, they offer plenty of free snacks, and the staff are exceptionally wonderful and accomodating. Plus, the puffin wine bar is wonderful if you like that sort of thing. It was the perfect way to finish our trip! Bonus points to the noticably comfy bed and blackout curtains that made for a fantastic sleep.

Warm, welcoming hideaway in the heart of Te Aro (Cuba Street) neighbourhood
Pros:

Outstanding urban boutique hotel, located half a block off of the famous Cuba Street and across the street from a lovely park. The rooms are exceptionally well-appointed, and provide quiet, comfort, abundant amenities, and a peaceful retreat from busy Wellington life. A bonus is the Puffin wine bar that the Intrepid shares with it: a very cool vibe with a wide range of well-curated wines by the glass or bottle plus a full bar. Don't worry: you can't hear any noise from the bar in any of the rooms. The Intrepid is my go-to hotel in Wellington to which I return again and again.

Pros:

Individual style of hotel

Cons:

Room too dark & small, car parking to far from hotel
Odd set up with shop & bar as part of the hotel
Location in the edgy part of wellington

Super cool hotel
Pros:

Really cool hotel, great location and huge rooms.

Cons:

Only a couple of super small things like the shower curtain blowing into you as you shower and not being long enough, so water splashed into the main bathroom; also the reception closes at 5pm so for a late flight you can't leave your luggage past this time which was a bit annoying

Well located for Cuba Street dining
Pros:

This is a Marmite/Vegemite hotel - it’s not for everyone with its industrial concrete wall vibe within an old building. It’s a little tired but well located. Cuba street with all its restaurants and bars is just 100m away and the quayside, museums, cable car and town centre are all within easy walking distance.

Cons:

Rather dark, industrial and tired but someone younger will most probably love it!

Pros:

The room was great. Comfortable and quiet after the bars closed at midnight. It's in a great location with lively fun stuff and good restaurants all around.

Cons:

Spotting it when you first arrive is tricky. Didn't know the check in was at the wine shop!

Fun place to stay for a couple of nights in wellington
Pros:

It was very conveniently located for Cuba street. It was trendy. It had free washing machines

Cons:

It was slightly style over substance with dark lighting and quirky shapes rooms . The window looked like it had never been cleaned outside because there was no access to do this. The shower curtain was ineffective

Het was ok
Pros:

Locatie was prima, bed was ook goed

Douche, losliggende tegeltjes, water kwam overal uit behalve uit de douchekop. Klein raampje in kamer, wat kamer erg donker maakt.

Good choice but can be loud.

Perfect location for Wellington CBD. Large and comfortable room.

Good location if you don't have a car
Pros:

1. The bed was very comfortable, the best we've had in 3 weeks in NZ. 2. The man at the desk was extremely helpful in solving a problem I had. 3. The hotel provided snacks and drinks in the room without charge. 4. Easy walking distance to many places to eat and to the Te Papa Museum.

Cons:

1. No one is at the desk after 5 pm to help you with any questions. 2. There is no parking at the hotel. When I arrived, I couldn't even find a place to park temporarily to unload luggage and check in. 3. No information sent to me in advance to help with parking problem. 4. No table or desk in the room for eating or writing.
