The best
There's a night club in the hotel so if you'd like to get some sleep in before 3am, request a room on the 6th floor or higer unless you can sleep with music blasting.
I booked king bed with sea view. When I arrived there’s no available king bed & there’s no sea view
Also, the room was dirty
Overall good but too much noise of music in the night.
Good location and price. Reception (including the Filipino and Moroccan desk staff) was good, Mr. Varun help through my stay was superb. The staff at the Sea Eagle Cafe (please note Pia's attentive service) was superb. Kudos also to Soliman, who was always respectful, professional, and courteous assisting with any help I needed. Room was big clean, spacious, very comfortable bed and pillows. The only thing I was not happy (satisficed) with was that, on check-in, they do not take credit cards to make charges to the room thru the stay, so have to walk with cash on hand all the time. Will be better if, in the future, this changes to make things easier to guests.
Excellent location overlooking the beach and all places good like Museum, Childrens Games and Park, Dolphin Show, good walking place in the garden and beach, The Breakfast spread was good and limited and also order to make Omlettes, etc and We would specially remember the Masala Tea made especially for us by their Paki chef, Yasir, who looked after us very well daily morning for us during our stay of one week. He was too soft spoken and really took our care for our preference of Morning Tea. The only problem is the loud singing & music on the 8th Floor but we got used to it the next day itself, the crowd there was also good and very well managed and respectful and friendly. We would love to go there again given a chance to visit again... Good Luck to their staff as well, who offered their very friendly services for extension of a day.
The room was good and with a beautiful view straight to the sea, allowing for a wonderful celebration of the sunrise. BUT even on an upper-floor level, the noise from traffic on the main road was quite loud. Also, I had lots of noise from the hotel's nightclub. Whatever floor it was on. The most interesting thing for me was the included breakfast. Arabic breakfast was pretty good with the expected olives, cheeses, foul and bread. On the other hand, the "American" breakfast is a heart attack waiting to happen. No lie, there were TEN deep-fried sausages, eight huge slices of bacon, about ten various pieces of bread, toast, rolls and cake, and a huge serving of scrambled eggs, that was easily four eggs. Breakfast service was VERY slow, taking about 50 minutes for the food to be served. I don't know what is so difficult that it should take this long. There were no other guests in the breakfast area, but it seemed that people chose to have food delivered to their rooms. This was an interesting hotel, if only because the practices are rare. I never did get to see the swimming pool, because the area was locked. Same for the roof, it seems there is no terrace for looking at the nice sea view. The reception staff were efficient and professional.
This hotel was supposed to have a shuttle but when we got to the airport they were too busy to pick us up and told us to take a cab which cost 60 AED when it should have been included. This is NOT a 4 star hotel, the location is sketchy, the music from the club runs until 2-3 am and you can hear it vibrating on every floor. Our baby couldn't sleep for hours. I would not recommend this accommodation.
This place is my favorite place for over 11 years. I fell safe, home and hospitality. My favorite place is casa bar, it's my favorite place after all. The reason why I keep coming to this place is the staff. They are so kind and friendly and always keep me safe I've been all over the world and all bars are not flexible at all. And that's the reason why I ain't go back to them at all. However casa bar is totally different I like it a lot
well managed hotel and it was perfect for our purpose (we had two conferences there). room was in a classic design. the room was cosy. there was also a pretty good breakfast service available and we went there two times and all was good there
It was just a short Trip to Manama and our Company book us into this Hotel. It was the first time there and it was very nice there. Especially the Employee had been there very firnely and did made a good Service. Comfortable Room and Room was also pretty cosy outfitted.
This place is completely different than what you can imagine from the previous reviews.
It is a really nice hotel which is located in the central and happening area of the city, yet it is ideally situated in a quiet area near the exhibition road. Outside traffic noise was never a problem. I would say the location of the hotel was the best thing I liked about it as it was very close to a variety of eating options as well as the main exhibition road. It was very close to the Al Fatih mosque and Islamic center as well.
We stayed for 5 days from Thursday - Monday. This was during the 2013 F1 GP weekend.
Our stay was very comfortable. The staff at the reception was very helpful and polite. Same goes for the room service staff. The rooms itself were very neat and clean and comfortable. Beds were excellent and everything in the room was working properly.
The hotel also has in-house entertainment which includes an Arabic lounge (Shisha, beers etc.) and an Arabic Dance club. Both of these are on the 2nd floor. Another club is on the 10 floor if i remember correctly. The hotel reception staff are wise enough to figure out not to give rooms near those floors to families. That is something I really liked. But in all honesty there was nothing that bothered us during our stay. They also have a swimming pool.
The hotel has ample parking which is great. I will definitely visit it next time I am in Manama, Bahrain.
If you are Gulf-Citizen you will know what i mean of "Not For Families". May be in our culture (as Muslims) its not acceptable to live in a hotel were there is "ready to serve women". Specially when u r with ur family it will be too embarrassing if a women knocked ur door in the middle of the night!!. More than that, i think having two discos in the same small-hotel is very annoying, specially if you just checked-in and want a space of peace. The discos are running every day, not only weekends, which is really strange!! and the discos are running through the night untill the 2 o'clock morning, very very annoying.
Free advice if u HAVE to live there, don't take any room in 7th to 9th floor, cause the main disco is in the 8th floor. The other disco in the 2nd floor so dont take any thing near it.
The loby have very bad smell, I think it is the smell of alcohols, which served in the lobby, really strange to serve it there.
Other wise the night distractions, the hotel has a very great spot, very close to the sea, VERY VERY nice view in the morning. Private parking, very good for people coming from Gulf countries by there cars. In the heart of the busiest street in Bahrain, Al-Ma'aredh Street. Relatively cheap, they are claiming of having FOUR stars, my self i don't give them even TWO!!
and Good Luck :)
3 star hotel. Clean rooms with friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast. Walking distance to Bahrain museum(worth a visit) and adequate evening entertainment inhouse and nearby including HardRock Cafe(good western food). Close to airport -free airport transfers available.
