Pros:

Loud parties until very late at night. Staff is uncaring and did not offer any solution. The mindset is that I am a nuisance to be bothered by their loud screaming music and singing thats so loud it was unbearable to stay in the room I was paying to stay in.

Pros:

Carcar has very few choices for places to stay. I an important reasons to be in Carcar for a month, so I stayed here. The pool is large and as an athlete, I needed a pool to train in, however it was often not clean. The hotel room itself was fine except for no fridge, which a great inconvenience considering I stayed a long time, and as a vegetarian I need to keep my own food and prepare my own food.

First, no toilet seats. And overflowing toilets. Its extremely painful and difficult for someone from a western country, or used to using a normal toilet, to have to sit on a toilet with no seat. Second, many times with the housekeepers were washing linens, all the soap bubbles backed up into my bathroom, sometimes literally knee deep.

The staff is kind and polite, but just saying, "Sorry sir," with no real solution or remedy, is meaningless. I am very quiet respectful person and I don't disturb others. I normally woke up quite early went jogging then return to swim for training. My days were mostly filled with walking long distances around to area visiting people I knew and helping some very poor families.

One evening I returned around 9, exhausted from a long tiring day, probably had already walked and jogged around 20 kms, and there was a very loud party happening. An older lady and the reception, perhaps the manager, she never said who she was, told me the party might be over at 12. Another staff said maybe around 10. Its common there to never give a straight answer.

Pros:

As an athlete who needs to train in the pool daily, I was happy they have a large pool. However as is typical in the Philippines, the water was often not clear or clean. I got an eye infection from the pool.

The hotel hosts local events like weddings. That’s great. But one morning a group arrived at 3:30 am to prepare for a wedding. People talked loudly outside my door and window for hours. And people actually banged on my door.

Unfortunately many people there have no respect for other guests or care at all whether their music or talking or actions negatively impact others like me. A paying guest who never makes noise or disturbs others.

This place is great... for making excuses!!
Pros:

•Non-functional WiFi.
•"If you have any questions or problems, just call us on the hotel phone." JOKE! None of the hotel phones in any of the four rooms we booked WORKED!!
•Resort, right? No pool towels!
•The pool? The water was warm and murky! You could just feel the typhoid and hepatitis boiling out of it!!
•The website said that a free breakfast was included in the booking. Yeaaah, right. The desk clerk (highly trained in apologizing and making excuses) told us that bookings made online didn't include a breakfast. He said that only bookings, made locally, directly to the hotel included breakfast (a form of a bait-and-switch marketing plan. This is a form of the famous 'kano fee.'

Stay away place!
