Cheaper than competition, kitchen, now looks pretty clean
Bad communication: only automated messages. The owner neglected to send me the door pin number, I had to wait till another guest let me in. Wifi didn't work. No separate bins for paper and plastic in the ckitchen, I had to take my waste with me to be green. Finally, no fan, though it's 30 degrees.
Nothing
When I arrived at the hotel room was dirty and smelly i refused to live there i said to refund my money they said we informed the booking. Com they will refund the money i paid £171.50 and they refund £19.50 they made joke with me, I just suggest don't book this hotel totally worth less and also don't trust booking. com
Location, was up graded as didn't realise i had booked a room with out facilities
Faulty fan, room was hot
Location is fantastic, staff were outstanding and so will to help
Some parts are a bit tired
Clean, perfect for an evenings stay in town for a weekend
Nothing
The location
No bathroom, this wasn’t clear when we booked and we didn’t feel overly safe using the toilet of a night when there were groups of men staying on the same floor as 3 women on our own
Clean tidy and very cheap
Sharing Facilities
My 2 friends had already just shared their reviews, but potential guests really do need to be aware of what a dive they are planning on visiting, and if they have time they should look for alternative accommodation.
We arrived early evening for a friends birthday and were greeted with a very kind and helpful chef. There was no management on site at all throughout or stay.
We were shown to our room and quite frankly stood in disbelief as what we were fronted with. We asked if there were other rooms available and were told that there was not. We went along to other hotels to see if they had availability, but there were no rooms free elsewhere.
We had travelled to Deal for our frien's 60th birthday, so had no other choice than to stay.
The price of this room was £150!!!! It was a double bed and a bunkbed. The room was absolutely disgusting, it was filthy, with ripped carpet, sockets hanging off of walls, water marks down every wall following a burst water tank, some time ago. Dust everywhere, used wipes on the bathroom floor, a hot tap that spun around when you tried to use it, and mould in the shower. The list was endless.
Also, no management stay at the property at night and we could not understand how this could legally be the case. We had not idea of what we would have had to do in the event of a fire. We were lucky that there were 3 of us staying together, as had I been a solo traveller, I would have gone back to the car and driven home, over an hour away.
I will personally be contacting Environmental Health tomorrow as someone has to take responsibility and accountability for this disgusting 'hotel' - Honestly, I think Hostel would be a better description.
We booked through Booking.Com, and have made a full complaint to them also.
We are awaiting a response as we understand they have to contact management in the first instance.
Oh and also we were told, not asked, to pay for the room in CASH and ON ARRIVAL. Leads me personally to belive there are reasons behind this.
I can't stress enough that Room 6, where we stayed should be permanently closed and not used for guests. It is an absolute joke. Apparently some of the rooms in the Hostel have been updated, but seriously look for accommodation elsewhere.
What an absolutely disgusting room. The owner obviously has no regard for quality or cleanliness of what could be a lovely hotel. We stayed in room 6!!! Water stains on walls, stains & holes in carpet, dust, dirt dead spider and used face wipes left. Bathroom shocking, stained and broken hot tap. The breakfast was amazing and staff attentive and friendly. Such a shame the owners do not respect the property and the people that pay to stay. Never again
Our room can only be described as hostel vibes
Dirty carpet with holes
wooden bunk beds from 1980
Shower that dribbles Luke warm water
No hot tap working
Mis match furniture
Dead spider in window just ambience !
Staff are lovely but seemed embarrassed about the overall standard
I would advised do not stay here
We would have left but deal was fully booked
The food and staff
Everything else. Disgusting, dirty and unkempt
Breakfast was decent
Took 20 minutes for a staff member to arrive and let us into the hotel. Water pressure in shower was so awful, really really bad. It was like having a wash under a dribble of water.
Good location.
Nothing
Excellent location and the sea view out of the big georgian window was amazing.
The shower was only a trickle no matter hot or cold and it’s on a mixer tap - i think they needed a new shower head - so I had to have a bath. There was no shower gel or anyrhing to wash with. Even the toilet just had sanitiser.
With those few adjustments it would have been perfect
