Breakfast was decent
Took 20 minutes for a staff member to arrive and let us into the hotel. Water pressure in shower was so awful, really really bad. It was like having a wash under a dribble of water.
Good location.
Nothing
The location is great right on the seafront with views of the pier. It's pretty cheap and of you get an ensuite room it's very comfortable. WiFi was good.
It's under new management and not staffed 100% of the time. Hopefully it will be more professionally managed in future.
The location was good
Black towels shared bathroom , no side lamps, very run down,, wasn't very clean .
Excellent location and the sea view out of the big georgian window was amazing.
The shower was only a trickle no matter hot or cold and it’s on a mixer tap - i think they needed a new shower head - so I had to have a bath. There was no shower gel or anyrhing to wash with. Even the toilet just had sanitiser.
With those few adjustments it would have been perfect
The location is fantastic right opposite the pier! Clean rooms quite oldie worldie but I like that has character! Staff very helpful and friendly
Friendly staff
Needs a lick of paint and serious modernisation if they want to charge those prices .
Location, Staff Steve Patrick and John.
Accommodation , lack of air conditioning room hot and stuffy. Steve the chef gave us a fan helped a little. House keeping average, shower terrible minimal pressure difficult to maintain temperature. Toilet ran constantly. Flower boxes outside window full of dead weeds, windows dirty.Last flight of stairs dangerous to negotiate.
The room was big and had a great view. The breakfast was delicious.
There was mould on the ceiling and walls, parts of the carpet was ripped up, the sink & toilet flush were broken, and there was dirt and grime in the bathroom.
Genuinely a deep clean, lick of paint, regrouting, a new bathroom suite and new towels & bath mat and it would be perfect 👌
Breakfast was ok
Room was small, hot and not well cleaned. There was half drunk bottled water in the room when we arrived which wasn't changed. We left a day early.
Comfortable room and a good breakfast.
Location
Dirty, smelly. Stank like it had been smoked in. All the corridors smelt like it as well as the room. The wallpaper was peeling off, there was something growing from the ceiling. The bathroom was old and tired and very dirty, the corners of the floor were dusty and had other peoples hair in them. It was hot but the windows didn’t open and no air con.
I was phoned several times in the days leading up to our stay asking what time we would arrive and then on the day when we were a bit later than excited I got another call asking what time we’d get there.
When we arrived we were asked to pay cash (obviously not going through the books then) and then the reception was closed.
The fire alarm was in “fault” mode the entirety of our stay.
Hotel perfect location great staff good food
Décor a bit tired could do with a spruce up
The hanging baskets at the front of the hotel were nice
Everything; facilities, decor, cleanliness of carpets, check-in (left standing in the cold as the front door was locked and no one on reception), having to shower one-handed as the fixture didn’t work, hairdryer fixture broken, windows wouldn’t stay open,
Overall very pleasant and in a nice little town.
Bathroom was rather cramped, little space.
The location was perfect
chef was nice.
Clean beds
The lady on reception - she was very rude and abrupt. We think she was sleeping and we woke her up to check in. She followed us the stairs and came to our room and asked 'is that your stuff? 'Is that your room?' It was very bizarre as she knew it was our room as she checked us into that room.
It took 30/35 minutes to check in.
No remotes for tv
The window frame was not attached to wall when opened.
Taps were bad not working well.
Bar not open.
Sharing a toilet and shower
