Amazing location! Boutique experience with friendly staff and beautiful, comfortable, cozy rooms. New, fresh, and nicely designed.
Loved the spa tub. The bonfire with the smores stuff is brilliant. The breakfast basket was so nice. The bar is limited but it exists. The fireplace was amazing as was the addition of ac's.
There was a used makeup towel on the floor when we got in. Also the bathroom door in the room we have stayed twice in, I always have issues with getting it to stay shut. Eating was difficult because no table in our room either.
The location was within walking distance from town and right beside a beautiful river. There was lots of storage space and the bathrooms were big. The room had a refrigerator and kettle, but no coffee pot or microwave. The owner accommodated my need for two rooms beside each other. There was a small bar in the lobby offering wine and beer until 8 p.m. They provided s'mores kits to cook over a central firepit, weather permitting.
There was a problem with the sink draining that got repaired quickly. Some of the nicer amenities like tissues weren't there. The cost was high for what it included. For example, there was no indoor pool or gym, but the price was the same or higher than hotels that provide those options. Coffee wasn't available until 8 a.m. There was no restaurant on site, but the hotel offered a breakfast basket for 2 with coffee, pastries, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs fireplace. My biggest issue was the $50 per night per pet fee. I searched Booking.com for pet-friendly accommodations and chose this hotel based on that feature and date availability. I do not consider that exorbitant fee to be pet-friendly. The owner informed me that the fee information was on the website; however, it was a non-refundable booking. Booking.com posts information, like "only 2 rooms left", but it doesn't indicate which pet-friendly accommodations charge fees or how much the fees are. I've booked over 30 locations in the last 2 years and never paid that much, but in the future, I'll be sure to check the hotel's website before confirming a room.
Super cute, clean, rustic ski vibe! Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great value and super close 15-20 drive to Whiteface

Cold showers, dirty rooms, poor maintenance.
Location was great. Was very clean.
Parking was a challenge- especially if you return after 9pm
In winter - difficult to walk around the property.
No comfortable chair to sit in, if spending time in room (during inclement weather).

Best bang for your buck. They have a sauna and complementary s’more kits and complementary snow shoes!
