We asked in advance if we could check in an hour or two early as checkin is not before 3pm. Which they offered for extra charge.
We travel a lot, 3pm is quite late and usually Hotels may let you check in early when there is a free room available at your arrival. We have never been asked to pay extra.
The Hotel was advertised with free parking. There are parking slots right across the Hotel and when I asked if this is the free Hotel parking I was asked to search a free slot in the housing area nearby with no markings (2 streets away) if I plan to leave the car longer than 9AM. To stay in the hotels car park was not offered to us.
We had to reserve the Sauna in advance, which was ok. The sauna was then just for us, which was also ok. They charge 15€ per hour which I felt a bit pricy. The locks on the lockers in the room before sauna where all broken and you could not look your belongings. To access the saune itself you need a key card, but everyone from the elevators or the Hotel car park(which we then discovered) can access the locker rooms with the broken locks on the lockers.
Back in the room, really thirsty from the sauna, we discovered that the mini bar was empty, not even a bottle of water. I had to get dressed again to get a few 0,5L plain water bottles from the vending machines in the lobby, for the price of "just" close to 4€ each. What 4 Star Hotel has an empty mini bar, not even a bottle of water?
Our room did not have a phone. So when you plan to call the reception, make sure your mobil phone works in the Netherlands.
in our apartment there was also a kitchenette, but except for the coffee machine and the kettle there was nothing in it. We did no plan to cook anything, but strange anyway to have hot plates and an exhaust hood, but no pan, pots etc. Also no plates or glasses, if you plan to order some take out and eat in the room.

We did not opt in for the breakfast, used the bar/restaurant or room service, not sure if they have one.

Restaurant: Die Qualität des Essens war unterdurchschnittlich. Geschmack und Konsistenz waren definitiv nicht zu empfehlen. Keine Empfehlung!
Das größte Ärgernis war das Frühstück und die Behandelung durch das Personal! Nachdem das Frühstück nicht wie angebenen bis 11 Uhr bereit stand, sondern nur bis 10 Uhr (dann begannen die Vorbereitungen für den Oster-Brunch.) Wir als Hotelgäste waren bereits abgeschrieben. Als wir dann für unseren Kaffee an der Bar bezahlen wollten wurde hinter und her gerufen: Sie bekommen keinen Kaffee, wir haben zu viel zu tun!
