Fantastic hotel stay in the heart of Edinburgh
Pros:

Excellent staff, probably the most helpful and welcoming staff you could wish for.
Location was perfect for the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle, just a short walk away.

Cons:

Our room overlooked a night club building, so was difficult to sleep properly until 3am due to the load music. I recommend that if your staying take some noise cancelling ear buds, or if you can't beat them join them at the night club!

We had an amazing time and will be back.
Pros:

I thought it was very welcoming and good quality

Cons:

Prices of whisky etc at the bar were not transparent which resulted in mistakes and please don’t mix savoury with sweet at breakfast; jam on the bread of eggs Benedict does not work.

Pros:

The hotel is quirky with lots of levels. It's a really interesting building and sits in a great spot in the old town.

The bedroom (Chamber King Room) was spacious and comfortable with a fairly decent view of the Castle. The rooftop garden has great views of the city. We didn't eat there so cannot comment on the food. Breakfast was not included in the price.

I felt that the bedroom was functional and comfortable, rather than luxurious.
