Very nice experience. Luxury but different than other luxury chains. Original room's design, pleasant and intuitive lighting control, excellent toiletries, comfortable bed and pillows. Splendid view over the city from the panoramic terrace.
I didn't think that the recommended parking place it is so far (7 min by car, 20 minutes by walk) away. But you get a good discount with a second ticket form the concierge and the daily parking cost was 19 pounds

Manche Zimmer etwas eingeschränkt wegen mangelnder Aussicht. Wir haben dann zusätzlich 170 £ für ein Upgrade mit tollem Ausblick bezahlt.
Warmly welcomed on arrival and complimentary upgrade was lovely! Room was very spacious and bed super comfortable.
Limited range of choice for buffet breakfast - especially for £25pp. Unfortunately the music from a bar across the road played until 2am which could easily be heard in our room. One of our guests was severely ill and when we phoned reception for some dry toast, were told no - the kitchen is closed which is quite a poor response.

Fun stay at Virgin Edinburgh . Gosh, from the minute you are welcomed into this hotel the staff are attentive, fun and helpful. They were unbelievably friendly and informative. A bit of a warren of rooms but once you've worked out where they are it is a lovely hotel beautiful decor, excellent restaurants. Particularly enjoyed the staff at Eve restaurant who were most efficient. The food choice is great and tasty. Loved the location , especially being right on Victoria Street ( Diagon Alley !) and so close to the Castle and Royal Mile. We have to please mention the amazing concierge who sorted our car out and delivered it back to us 3 days later so easily and with a sense of humour ! It is costly at £45 a day but definitely worth it in the middle of Edinburgh.

Good selection and great offer of food on the menu for breakfast. Fabulous and very knowledgeable staff. Clean rooms.
Selection of food ran out a few times and couldn’t be replenished as they’d run out well before the end of service at breakfast.
One of the restaurants on the basement floor had an overwhelming smell of sewerage in the evening for our son’s 21st birthday celebration. Mentioned it was his 21st but nothing acknowledged or offered by staff for the meal which was disappointing for him.
