Emma, the owner, was a fabulous host. She was super knowledgeable about the area and Belize in general, always helpful and friendly. The room (we had a double bed on a mezzanine) had a quirky layout and the interior design gave industrial vibes while the communal terrace area was cool and well-equipped. We hired mountain bikes for a day trip which was fun.
Nothing, it was lush!
A nice and cozy place to have your stay in Hopkins.
The host is very helpful and have a lot of knowlegde.
We ended up staying more days, just so we would explore more and stay at the The Crash Pad Hostel.
Great layout with bike theme
Not on beach, but close
I wasn’t sure what to expect. The room was very small but fine for one person. It was kinda noisy with being on main street and construction going on next door. The price for AC seemed kinda high at $35. US for one day. But I was comfortable and the room worked very well for me. Small and a cute facility I would say.
Really I was happy with my stay there.
Zeer goed gelegen.
Niets.
Superb location (close to the beach and restaurants), squeaky clean with a nice terrace as a common area and the host is an absolute gem! Super helpful and friendly, helped us wherever she could with valuable information, suggestions on what to do, helping us out with her local contacts for transport. She has a bike and motorcycle rental service aswell, which we used to do an incredibly beautiful bike ride along a river on a route she suggested to us! All we hoped for and more!
The perfect way to spend the best journey in Hopkins

The concept is beautiful , the customer service and empathy is abysmal
I actually liked the place
Easy to locate in the village.
Bus stops right in front of the hostel which is a plus if using public transportation.
Comfortable and clean place!
The host, Emma, is super accommodating and approachable to answer any questions.
Thank you!
The owner, Emma, was very attentive and lovely. You could see she built everything herself, all into the little details. There was also the sweetest cat. We got an upgrade of the room which was great as well, very large room. The roof terras was great to hangout as well. Don't forget to bring you motordrivers license, because then you can rent a motorbike!
You can also rent a (mountain)bike.
The shower stream could be better in our room
The roof top and appliances available. Walkable to beach and stores.
It felt like we were in a hot jail cell with everything cement, no breeze, no colour and dark. An engine workshop just outside the door and the location is very noisy.
I got an upgrade free of charge because of slow season, so I was happy about that! I did self-check in because I arrived a little after reception closed. But I was sent the instruction videos in advance and everything went perfect. The place is lovely. The roof terrace is amazing! It has a shared fridge, cupboards with everything you need and a sink. I had breakfast and soaked up the morning sun every day of my stay.
Staff was super friendly. I liked that the place is on the main street and you can see regular life happening all day long.
The downside of being on the main street was that some loud traffic started at 5:30AM, which was early to be woken up on vacation :D
Crash Pad Adventure Hostel in Hopkins might just be Belize’s best hostel. It’s not your average backpacker stop; it’s incredibly clean, thoughtfully maintained, and has a very cool design. Every detail feels intentional, from the smart layout of the rooms, to the artistic touches throughout the property. It’s clear that this place was built for travelers who appreciate comfort but who don't want to pay for unnecessary extras, like a television in your room.
And then there’s the staff — Juan, Cornelio and Eva were a little shy at first, but that’s exactly what makes them so genuine. They’re hardworking, kind, and always ready to help when you need it. I was floored when I learned that they actually built everything; walls, showers, furniture - EVERYTHING!
Most of all, they gave me a true window into Belizean life and society. My conversations with them added depth to my stay and turned my experience into something memorable and authentic.
Between the spotless cleanliness, the creative design, and the warm, genuine staff, Crash Pad Adventure Hostel is far more than a place to sleep, it feels like a whole experience. If you’re curious to explore Belize, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better hostel anywhere in the country.
Nothing! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, it's not fancy, but one of the best hostels I've stayed at. No complaints!
