Hotel was clean and looked recently refurbished so was very comfortable. An atmospheric old hotel catering well to modern needs, staff very helpful, food good. Has some parking which is important.
Parking not easy, but was available.
Nice place nice location
Location and price.
Little tired and dated.
The person who I asked about parking was extremely pleasant and helpful. The girl who took me to my room could have shown me the bar and restaurant quickly.
Good location and access to high street, lovely staff, great breakfast, good quality TV in room and free wifi. For the price it was OK, you cant expect too much for £60 but if doesnt compare room wise to even a travelodge.
The room was staright out of the 70's with tired decor, shabby carpets, sagging bed, tired bathroom and shower. The building was very noisy, if someone flushed a toilet you would know about it and the noise from peole walking arorund was high and intrusive. Its an ancient building with character so you have to accept that.
Central
A little dated.
Shower cubicle’s tray filled very quickly
I arrived on my motorcycle on Saturday 9th May. The hotel has a fabulous garage to keep cars and bikes safe. Met some lovely other tourists in the bar and the bar staff and hotel manager were very engaging. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying there.
Nothing to fault at all. There's no point in finding tiny faults for the sake of it.
Second stay here and not disappointed
Room very spacious and clean - good value
Breakfast was a little pricey at £15. Had it not been a Sunday I would have used a nearby cafe instead. No staff on Sunday morning, so couldn't pay for breakfast at check-out.
Breakfast
Noise, room wasn't clean, WiFi password did not work
Nice location and peaceful
Had to eat earlier than I normally would
Friendly staff
Didn’t realise that Breakfast wasn’t included , my mistake , would of been good if staff would of reminded us of that with our evening meal as we waited for Breakfast in morning . Was nice that a dog friendly area was provided although a little dated in decor . The Sunday carvery was very good but not warm enough .
