Overall very pleased with my stay. Exceptional customer services by house keeping supervisor Mr. Zafar went above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction and cleanness. As well Mr. Mamum. very much enjoyed my stay there and will stay in future travel. 10 out of 10
Proprete horrible
The bedsheets and towels were stained.
The lamps were not functional.
Air conditioning was not fully operational.
However the location is good if you are looking for cheap food restaurants, such aa Indian, Pakistani and African food.
Close to the metro stations.
We left this place within an hour of checking in. It did not remotely match the description on Booking.com . It was overpriced and non refundable. The checkin process took nearly 30 mins. We were not told where the pool was so cannot review. Once we had seen the “apartment “:we were dumbfounded. A room with a galley would be an accurate description. It is described as a brand new building! It most certainly is not. All of the furnishings are tired but generally clean with the exception of the dining area populated with cheap furniture, self service and messy. The safe was locked open and not bolted to the wall hence unusable. The balcony had no furniture. The “restaurant”: was more like a self service canteen serving African dishes despite being advertised as Asian African and international. The fully inclusive package included a soft drink with dinner. A lot of people were living in the hotel and in the 30 minutes we waited Tat checkin there was a constant stream of folk coming and going with shopping and packages. We were=the only Europeans. When we said we wanted to check out the manager said perhaps they could upgrade our accommodation. Nothing would have induced us to remain.
We stayed in the hotel 3 times when in Dubai. It’s away from the glamorous and more expensive parts of the city and feels authentic. Deira is where more locals & working class people live, I observed. That being said, the food around the hotel is good and much less expensive than other areas of Dubai. Expect to see a lot of different cultures and people from around the world in the neighborhood. The restaurant serves authentic cuisine from The Democratic Republic of Congo and some other world cuisines. Everything that you could need to buy is within walking distance and although it is hot in Dubai even in the winter, the air conditioning worked well and the hot water was always really hot. If you are traveling to Dubai and are on a budget, I recommend Deira and of the three hotels we stayed in inside Dubai, this was the one we came back to. The main reason that we came back to City Stay is the service. Mr. Abdullah Ammar and Mr. Jafar in particular were very consistent and conscientious in their checking on us during our visit and helped to ensure that we had whatever we needed. Although our situation in Dubai was precarious (we were trying to bring my husband from Iran to the USA under emergency conditions) and we never were able to predict whether we would be leaving or staying, the front desk team was also very accommodating and patient with us. This hotel has good people & heart. As a hotel manager myself, I know that is priceless. Also the rooms are as photographed!
bad reception , bad room service , very bad food, all bad!
after a name change they didn’t let us use the room or bring guest! awful hotel
maybe the worst choice you can make
all our money for 1 month stay wasted for nothing
they didnt help us at all
