Design details were really neat, the bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was spacious. Felt like a nice historical place to stay.
Most things were just so small, narrow, sparse, and dark. I felt like I needed the flashlight on my phone a few times just for normal functioning.
Close to Walters Art Museum
Room too dark to read
Torn bedsheets
No slippers
Design Hotel? Rather second class flew market
Great
The portrait of the creepy Victorian girl in my room! I think she is still waiting on her supper >:O
Everything ! Location , the room was so cute and the beta was comfortable, the rooms are not super big but they are cozy and clean .
Liked decor
elevators were complicated to use at first
The best part about NYE is celebrating at midnight. The worst part is being on the road on the way home. It was great to enjoy an NYE excursion in my own city. Though I have been to several of the on site restaurants and bars I never took the opportunity to stay at Ulysses until I purchased tickets to their NYE party. The hotel and room decor are romantic and beautiful. We were able to get dressed up, take the elevator to the party, dine, drink, and return safely to our rooms after the new year. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, service, and amenities. Street noise at bedtime was a bit of a bother but it was NYE.
Third time I've stayed here in 5 months. Love it. So Baltimore and so quirky. And of course comfortable! The vibe of the rooms and the whole place is great
We popped up to Baltimore for a quick weekend trip and picked Ulysses because it is part of the Amex Hotel Collection and the price was right. We loved this hotel. The interiors are stunning--both in the public areas and in the rooms. The rooms are stylish, luxurious, and comfortable. We made note of the brand of the mattress and linens because the bed was one of the nicest we have ever slept in.
Service was wonderful--friendly and helpful. Hotel Collection stays are supposed to include a room upgrade "when available." Most hotels just say "sorry, not available. Here, the ladies at the front desk put real effort--without our asking!--into finding us an upgrade (from a Queen room to a much larger King room).
This was our first time staying in the Mount Vernon neighborhood in Baltimore. It's a great area with some terrific museums (especially the Walters, which we spent a full day exploring) and lots of good restaurants and bars (including the Coral Wig, right in the same building, where I had a couple of the best cocktails I've ever tasted).
One odd quirk to report: There was no telephone in our room. Not a huge deal but it did mean we had to go down to the front desk to report an issue with the heating in our room (which was promptly fixed). Looking online now, I see phones in the pictures of the rooms online, so I don't know what was up with that.
Anyway, 10/10 and highly recommended.
Centrally located in Mt. Vernon. Comfy and well appointed room with excellent service in both the restaurant and bar! Would stay again!
Great experience.. the hotel is not your typical hotel with it vintage accent and I love the amenities that they offer. Also, the location helps a lot if your taking the train in from peen station.
Ulysses was beautiful, quiet, and so cozy! I will definitely stay here again when I visit Baltimore. I loved the ambience and atmosphere.
Our third stay in past two week. Great location, wonderful staff, and superb ambiance. King room is comfortable and the “Be the First” breakfast package is great deal.
It is a beautifully designed space. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant offers a fine breakfast.
I would have been happy with a little more light in the room.
I reserved 5 rooms to attend the Army Navy Game with family and friends for the weekend. I’ve been a Marriott Lifetime Titanium Bon Voy member for decades. This is a unique property that I would not hesitate staying at again. In addition to the uniqueness of the property and rooms, the most unique quality of this property is their staff. I have never experienced a hotel staff that was more friendly and eager to help. Everyone on property and especially the front desk staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. If you like the Marriott Moxy brand, you’ll love this place.
Never had hot water in shower
Also I had to shower in other rooms and then come back to my room.
Very disappointed and inconvenienced
Spend a couple of days here for business and visiting , I found the hotel near all of my destinations . Clean, nice hotel - all staff was very pleasant and professional, specially the breakfast lady was amazing - I forgot the name but she’s originally from New York, she was very detailed , professional and friendly . Will be back again .
Despite the lighting being dimmed throughout the facility, my husband and I ( and my puppy) think this place is a gem. The food and drink are excellent. Live Jazz Tuesday night. Love the neighborhood. Close to Mercy Hospital.
We loved staying at this unique hotel that is centrally located. It was a wonderful experience! We were excited about our stay from the moment we pulled up to the hotel and were not let down at any step. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!
Phenomenal staff and crew, from concierge to bar to room cleaning. People make places memorable and we will remember The Ulysses team as what made our Baltimore stay unforgettable.
