Staff was wonderful! Breakfast had a great selection. Facilities were clean- overall an excellent value.
The pull out sofa left much to be desired. It couch was not a traditional pull out- and there was no true mattress. Even small children found it uncomfortable to sleep on. Luckily no adults had been planning to use this sleeping accommodation. If so- we would have had to make other arrangements at the last minute. The type of pull out and lack of comfort for this option was definitely not disclosed ahead of time.
Very clean and comfortable
A little expensive
It was ok. Could've had a Lil more varieties.
Nothing
Great location and very nice
We did not have enough towels and it took hours before someone brought them up to room. I went to front desk to try to get some sooner and stood around for 15 min with no luck. Took towels out of pool area
Very clean and new
The staff was great! The room was a nice size. Not crowded at all and new. The gym/pool were excellent and plenty of food places in walking distance. Downtown is neat and 8 minutes away by car. 20 minutes to Appleton and Fon Du Lac and 45 to Green Bay. Highly recommend!
Several issues: 1) bathroom shower was not handicapped. There was only one safety bar, a considerable distance from the shower head. The floor of the shower was rather slippery and the office said that they are not provided any type of maths to make this a safer unit. 2) cleaning lady did not not replace in room coffee. Only changed the beds once. The top sheet did not fit the bed.! It appeared that it was a queen size sheet on a king's size bed. Laundry facility was fantastic. Breakfast was very good..
Rooms have no place to hang clothes, no iron or ironing board in room. Ripoff. Moved to different hotel after one night stay.
We usually stay at Townplace Suites when we travel as we like the kitchen area. However, I was really disappointed in this stay.
First off, I was given a 1st floor room when I had requested a high floor. The hotel was pretty empty, so there is no reason I had to be given a 1st floor room. It was also right next to a sidewalk so there were people walking by the room.
I am a gold Bonvoy member and was not even offered a water when I checked in and no mentioned of being a Bonvoy member at all.
Second, the room above me was so noisy that I had to go to the front desk at around 7PM. They were literally running around and stomping so hard that items in my room were vibrating. The guy at the front desk said he could ask them to quiet down, but there was nothing really that could be done since quiet hours did not start until 9PM. It went on for about 2 hours, stopped and then started back up at 6am, waking up both of us in the room.
The charges for the items in the little shop are insane. $6 for a water and $5 for a tiny tin of pringles?
Lastly, the bathroom was subpar. I have never stayed in a Townplace suites that had bathtub/showers. They have all had really nice big walk-in showers. This tub was tiny and so slippery, you really had to be careful while you were taking a shower. There were no anti-slip strips in the tub at all. Also, there is either no exhaust fan at all, or ours didn't work. It was really uncomfortable trying to get ready in the bathroom after a shower as it was SO hot and humid.
I will definitely pick another place next time I am in town.
.
What a nice feature….to have 2 large grills and tables and chairs as as alternative to eating in a restaurant.
Newer hotel. Rooms are very clean. All amenities available - gym, pool, free parking, free breakfast. The breakfast guy is wonderful - super service. Rooms are not cleaned daily - check the front desk if you need to have additional coffee in the room. Front desk service is excellent and there are lots of brochures on Oshkosh and the Fox River area. Room was quiet. The complaint on the room is the black-out drawdown shade is not very effective - to much light coming in from the sides and there is no way to darken the room.
My 2.5 year old and I stayed for a night before seeing family after a long flight. We were able to snuggle right in with a warm shower and then wake up for pool time at 6AM and breakfast at 7AM.
We were so happy with all of it- simple, clean, happy and cleanly people and surroundings. It felt like home.
Where to begin…
First we had to request for linens for the pullout couch for my daughter - nothing left in the closet for convenience. Second, there was a master switch for the lights. Very discouraging when trying to get a toddler to bed as well and figure out the lighting. The pullout couch was terrible and not good support for anyone to sleep on. The master bed was terrible as well. The shower had no door. Just walk in and you will have an amount of water pooling outside of the shower getting the bath mat wet as well. Also, staff placed us on the second floor (that was not an issue) above the patio that is available for everyone to use, complete with fire pit and grill. On Saturday night of our stay, we were kept up all night (including the toddler) with the people using the space. It would have been better to have families placed on the other end of the hotel away from that additional noise. The breakfast was terrible. Microwaveable bacon, styrofoam eggs and preservative packed muffins. Also using the waffle maker, the associate in charge of the breakfast, the spray for the waffle maker was not placed out. Instead of waiting for me to step to the side, they said “oh excuse me” and completely blocked me in pushing me up against the counter with their waist/groin to reach into the cupboard up above for the spray. I felt highly uncomfortable and did not appreciate this rude and unwanted advance from your associate. Borderline sexual abuse. Please talk to your staff.
The property is great except the microwave is not working.
