Eine parkähnliche Anlage in geradezu paradiesischer Lage, direkt am Meer, eingebettet in den Urwald. Schmackhaftes Frühstück und Abendessen, sehr netter Service im Restaurantbereich.
Wir hätten uns gewünscht, dass die Insektengitter dicht wären. Das Abendessen war überteuert, und es gab in der Umgebung keine Alternative.

Équipements quasi inexistants, peu entretenus, personnel sympathique mais sans aucune idée du service.
On vous dit que le petit déjeuner démarre à 6h, personne sur place avant 6:30, on vous demande au petit déjeuner si vous dînerez au restaurant le soir - sinon ils le ferment…
Au vu du prix, on s’attend à mieux!
L’endroit, le calme , le beau et grand jardin , la belle suite avec sa salle de bain ouverte sur l’extérieur.
Nous étions seul dans l’hôtel et on nous a préparer une très jolie table pour le soir .
Pour ce standing d’hôtel , je pense que la chambre devrait être faite chaque jour .
Nous avons demandé 4 capsules supplémentaires pour la machine à café de la chambre , nous avons dû payer 11 dollars. Vu le prix de la chambre, je pense qu’ils auraient pu nous les offrir.

The view and the whole place is astonishing. We got delicious welcome drinks. The staff was very endeavored.
The restaurant for this kind of „boutique“ hotel was very disappointing. It is ridiculously expensive for what you get. Also, it took the chef more than 30 minutes to prepare two pizzas (pizzas weren’t better than frozen one’s) as we were the only guest that night. We had a Caprese Salad as starters and we literally got two thin-sliced tomato pieces and three mini mozzarella balls for 15$ (!). The whole restaurant really needs to think everything through as also other guests were complaining.

The cabin was spacious and clean, lovely big comfy bed, great views, lovely gardens and we loved the seclusion and being immersed in the sounds of nature. The staff were great and couldn’t do enough for us. The whole area and the Gulf was totally unspoilt.
The property was close to the beach which unfortunately wasn’t a good beach for swimming but very quiet and nice to walk along and there is a good sized altho’ not very deep pool at Kunken.

A full spa would have been nice as they call themselves kunken resort and Spa
It is so peaceful and beautiful and the staff are delightful. We saw so much wild life around the property and the dolphin watching tour was worth the money , so many dolphins and a glorious sunset.
The food was delicious and super healthy. We had the villa with the plunge pool which was worth the extra as its very hot in the day and this was the only cool water. The sea and main pool are very warm
Its away on its own so it would be good to have a car(which we didn’t)

The location and atmosphere is very unique. We loved the small trail route stating from the hotel we were able to spot some animals. It was great to be able to swim and take the kayak out to explore more of the bay. Everyone working the was very friendly and caring. I would definitely recommend!
As a lot of places in Costa Rica you need a 4x4 as the road coming in is unpaved and steep.
The property was absolutely beautiful, the sunrises make it worthwhile on their own. Great for birdwatching and just winding down. The staff are incredibly friendly and do their best to help whenever asked.
We stayed there at the end of our trip and wanted the chance to relax and just enjoy our surroundings and it delivered perfectly
Immaculate property, beautiful view, right on the edge of the rainforest and the beach. The restaurant is excellent! All the food was fresh, creative, and well-prepared. The villas are spacious, extremely comfortable, pretty, and well-designed- no critters get in, and it is relatively cool at night despite no air con (there is a good fan). The villa had a mini-fridge which was helpful. We enjoyed top-notch birdwatching from our porch. The staff is great- the weather was unusually bad when we were here, and they went above and beyond to find tours for us to make the most of our stay.
