Pretty, renovated, lovely staff, nice restaurant. Brilliant deck outside the bridal suite.

Cons:

Beds were a bit too soft. And the breakfast deal with a local cafe was very disappointing (although coffee was good).

Shortly after making our reservation almost 4 months ahead of travel, our itinerary changed and we asked if we could switch our days, if they could try to rebook, offer a partial refund, etc and they couldn’t have been less helpful.

We travel 4 months a year and have never been so roundly dismissed. Stayed at Deep Pool and the staff were lovely.

Pros:

Port Fairy is a very old destination and the hotel, with only six rooms, is an old building that has been tastefully renovated.
Ideal for a stopover on the Great Ocean Road when travelling from Melbourne.

The hotel room was very beautiful and comfortable thank you. Taps a challenge until you read the info, an architects dream.
Dinner was enjoyable and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Port Fairy is a lovely location.

Cons:

Our only disappointment was breakfast. Nice coffee shop but not a breakfast cafe. I expected more, considering the establishment and compared to where else we have stayed across Australia. In that, I mean a comprehensive choice of cooked and cold items rather than a walk to - "you can have a drink and an item from the chiller". It rather devalues the whole experience. I hope that you consider this.
