Everything. From the historic building, to the location, to the exceptionally considered and stylish decor, to the quality of the finishes, towels, bedding, this property is truly a luxury boutique [email protected].
Eine wunderbare Unterkunft
The property has been finished to a very high standard, is like a home away from home, very spacious and clean and the most comfiest of beds! We were met by the owner Sally who was very friendly and we were offered a free upgrade from the Courtyard Suite to the Beau Suite which was a lovely gesture.
Absolutely nothing!
Everything was 20/10. We didn't want to leave the hotel sadly. We love our little suite, so much space and the decor is beautifully curated. We love the little touches - snacks, the choices of amenities, the lights. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and so filling - continental selection with your choice of eggs.
The location of the hotel was a perfect short walk to the town centre, plenty of shops and restaurants.
The standout was the staff especially Sally. She greeted us like old friends, showing us the room and the bathroom. She checked us about dinner plans and what we want for breakfast. She was so warm and kind. In the morning when checking out but after our breakfast, she packed us some freshly baked muffins that we missed. It was so delicious! She truly was the most wonderful host! We also briefly met Amanda during breakfast who was also super friendly.
Even coming during winter, Port Fairy is just stunning and we will be back soon to experience Oak and Anchor Hotel again.
The open concept bathroom might be an issue to some people. I think it's considerate that there is an extra shared toilet downstairs for guests should they need the extra toilet. Generally we were OK with it as we saw it in the photos, the style was too beautiful not to appreciate.

Monique was outstanding. She was the constant and she was always looking for ways to make our stay comfortable. Her mum makes the most amazing melting moments! Monique baked yummy muffins every morning and prepared a beautiful breakfast spread for guests. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. The location was great, and the recommended restaurants were well worth visiting.
The open-plan bedroom and bathroom were a significant drawback for us. It just didn't feel right.

Just wow. The place is beautiful, cozy, and very welcoming. We received the warmest welcome from the host. We truly felt at home.
