DO NOT STAY HERE if you don't wanna pay for dishonesty and fraud.
(Dishonesty scenario 1) :
The advertised description of air-conditioning of the room I booked with human hotel residence was the reason we chose this hotel. However, when I arrived at the hotel, the hotel manager claimed that there was no air conditioning in ANY room in this hotel at all, he also lied that he requested booking.com to remove the description of air conditioning many times, but it was never removed.
I simply could not spend three nights with my wife in the current weather of 34 degrees in average in France during the heat wave. After a thorough discussion, the manager lied and claimed he would initiate a refund through booking.com. Hence, I DID NOT stay in this hotel, I had no choice but to book another hotel to stay.
(Dishonesty scenario 2 ) :
However, the next day I phoned booking.com, I was informed that the hotel has never contacted booking.com to arrange the refund at all. I had also phoned the hotel and urged the hotel manager to proceed with the refund, he refused to make any refunds and hung up on me several times.
The room I booked is clearly described to include air conditioning, it was the deal that I signed up for.
The hotel did not hold up their end of the deal in their malicious attempt to falsely advertise the room features in the first place.
It was simply a fraud.
Amazing host! Very nice and friendly. Rooms are big enough and clean! On site free parking as well.
Having been bounced by the hotel I was booked into I had been looking for somewhere to stay for 2 hours, fortunately just as hope was fading I came across this great hotel arriving at 8.30 pm tired and dishevelled after cycling more miles than was good for anyone my age. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and sympathetic. Within 15 minutes I was booked in, my bike was locked away and the restaurant had agreed it would be ok for me to have a shower and change and that they would serve me once I was ready, they were about to close at 9.00. The meal was superb, service friendly but very efficient and it was reasonably priced. I have paid much more for much less. My room was comfortable, clean and in a good state of decoration. Breakfast was very good all in all excellent value for money. This hotel goes the extra mile, I would certainly stay again.
The place is run by a nice family and it is a very friendly and pleasant accommodation. We stayed there as we were attending a wedding nearby and we had a good night sleep. The rooms are cosy and the staff ensures everything is is order. It is worth the money and effort.
My wife and I went for lunch there today which is a return visit although not for some months .
The service was impeccable and the food exquisite , My snails and leeks cooked in a cheese sauce was out of this world and as for the sweets , what a finish to a meal.
This hotel isnt expensive, was easy to find and we had a good night sleep despite the road outside, although we did have room 10 at the back and had the fan going all night due to the heat. Rooms are basic, and the only problem we had was a hand held shower rose over the bath, with nothing to clip the hose to, so water ended up everywhere. Free wifi good. Breakfast was excellen
This review is for the restaurant at Les Esparrus. We did not stay at the hotel. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the dinner that we ate in the outside dining area at the rear of the hotel. A more formal dining room is available, but didn't see much interest on a hot Provencal evening. All of the dishes served were competent without being extraordinary, but overall the meal was enjoyable. Most of the wine is local such as from Chateau Thuerry (just up the road from the hotel). The service was delivered with a smile. All in all, despite its location at the side of what can be a busy local road, this restaurant is worth a visit if you're in the area.
This place is up and, hopfully, coming as the owners try to improve the garden and pool area. We were concerned of the lack of AC but found that our room facing the garden was cool enough this very hot day. The pool and garden need some improvments but we found the rooms in good order with a nice bathroom. Try to get a room towards the garden as the hotel is facing a main street and the windows are without double glacing. But do not let this put you off as we hade a great stay at this place.
The owners are very kind and try to accomodate all your needs. We had a very nice experience trying thier menus. They came at 21, 27 and I think 34 Euros. We tried the one for 27 Euros and had a fantastic evening with them. It was very tasty and well presented, well done!
The wine we tried was produced next door and a gem, not cheap but very good. So if you try their food after a swim in the pool you will fall a sleep thinking Provence is a nice place to live on vaccation.
A very pleasant hotel with kind entrepreneurs (Fabienne and Pascal). We have been there already for 20 times and it is always a pleasure to be there. Rooms are good, breakfast is good, dinner very good: Nice swimmingpool; a complete hotel in one of the best areas of France. We had a bastide in Salernes and know the area very well.
