Everything about this property is wonderful. We cannot say enough about the hotel staff!
Literally, EVERYTHING was great.
We highly recommend this place. Take the little plane to the Limon airport and just have them set up your transportation. They'll have someone waiting for you. We had zero problems. Everything went as smooth as possible because of the Awa staff! We will return to the Caribbean coast of Punta Cana and most definitely stay at the Awa Beach Hotel again! I'd give them 10 stars if i could!
The roim was spotless, the beach was great. Rhe included breakfast was wonderful....

Beautiful and secluded! Upscale tropical feels with ocean views! The staff was amazing and shout out to Dinnier for personally showing us the local wildlife including sloths and monkeys while we had an amazing dinner by the ocean. Breakfast was great too! Loved it!

Elegant design and tasteful decoration with open air restaurant and quick walk to the beach. Staff was always busy cleaning walkways.
Room was poorly designed with clothes hangar over the bar area and nothing in the slot that looks like a closet. The door was made for ADA, but had to be unlatched from the floor and tri-folded to open it. Otherwise only about 20" wide.
There were notices that read "anything you need..just ask". But the few things I asked for weren't available.

Stunning, beach, rooms, breakfast all fabulous - stayed 3 nights, could have easily stayed longer.

If you want amazing hospitality and relaxing vibes this the place. The staff made it all perfect. We stayed for 4 nights and left completely relaxed. Don’t forget to visit the sister property they have a very nice pool. The only observation is the dining menu is always the same and very seafood forward. However they are great restaurants nearby.

We had great time! The resort was one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed, with a beach view right outside our room. The staff was incredibly friendly and overly helpful. My friend got sick one of the days and they went above and beyond to help her feel better, constantly offering things to help and checking up on her every hour or so.

Everyone was helpful and over-the-top accommodating. They would run and find us to show us any wildlife they happen to spot in the area. We had Christian serving us on the beach and he was phenomenal. Gave us so many recommendations for the area, and followed up by having the front desk send us the info via text. He also delivered some things directly to our room, which he didn't have to do.

Hermoso hotel en Playa Punta Uva. Un contraste hermoso entre bosque y playa. Excelente atención al huésped en la playa. Pedimos unos cócteles y almuerzo y estuvo delicioso.

Personal en general muy servicial, atentos a los detalles para garantizar una excelente experiencia.

Contratamos servicio de Spa que fue una experiencia muy relajante con el sonido del mar.

La habitación tenía lo necesario sin ser wow. Tenemos claro que no nos quedamos en una suite.

The ride from the San Jose airport to Awa beach hotel was 5 1/2 hours. It can be a little shorter, but there was rain and crazy traffic. We went for Christmas to the end of Dec. and unfortunately it rained almost the whole time. Thanks Mother Nature! The room was clean and the AC worked great. Housekeeping did a fine job. There is only one chair in the room beyond the bed and it is in the bathroom. It is pretty bare bones but gets the job done. The beach looked nice enough and we sat out there for a few hours a couple of times. The covers on the beach chairs were pretty soiled and smelly so we needed our towels to cover them. There seemed to be a shortage of towels most days. The dedicated beach was nice. This is a hotel and just that. It is not a resort and does advertise as such, so beyond the beach, you must find activities. We did a day hike and a night hike, both were good. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant the day we arrived but went out all other nights. It was so pricey. Breakfast is included but we were not into it. So many flying bugs are the buffet and table. A few running fans would do wonders to move them along. Also, the buffet selection of prepared food was pretty unappealing. The food off the menu was better. The staff are all nice, but could definitely use training. The housekeeeping staff are superb. For those considering a trip, we were when we arrived told it rains most days. Not the fault of the hotel at all, just bad luck!

Best experience I have ever had.

The hotel breakfast buffet and pools are good. However the property is small and sometimes you can smell cows when you are in the jacuzzi. Hot springs are small. Food and cocktails are very expensive. We stay 3 nights for the cost of $1,600 which is very expensive for a small property. You can’t walk to the forest as it is small. No birds or animal sightings at the hotel.

We had a wonderful time during our stay here - it was a great place for our honeymoon and we would highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a romantic spot with some privacy and also accessible to all that Puerto Viejo has to offer. The complimentary breakfast provided went above and beyond expectations. Extra shout out to all of the employees who were very helpful and provided great service throughout our stay :)

Lovely property. Awesome, kind and attentive staff. Great food. We loved our room which had a balcony with a view of the grounds and the Sea just through the trees. Comfy beach chairs kept cleaned and fresh, a bar set up and food options right on the beach. The best massage I've had maybe ever in a little secluded set up in the trees with the sound of the waves in the background. It's a very small property which was perfect and intimate.

Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und alles war wie beschrieben. Das Frühstück ist wunderbar und das Personal (auch am Strand) waren sehr freundlich und serviceorientiert. Das Hotel hat keinen Pool und auch keinen TV, was uns allerdings überhaupt noch gestört hat.

What an incredible place to relax. The Serenity room is wonderful. Alejandro, at reception, was very friendly and helpful.

Stunning accommodations with the truly most fabulous staff. Your every wish is met and zero details left unturned. We had the ocean villa and it was super quiet, absolutely gorgeous and had every amenity. The food was delicious, we recommend dinner on the beach. Allejandro, Milena & Elvin went above & beyond to make our stay extra special & memerable. The beach is so relaxing and sloth viewing added to our enjoyment! A must visit hotel!!

The time to take orders and deliver food is too long. The staff, mainly female, should have a better communication with customers.
On a different area, the internal parking lot is too small.
The platinum status did not offer any advantage. We were not allowed to check in earlier and we were given only one extra hour at check out.
