Small but good atmosphere, bed was comfortable. The onsen was such a plus to get rid of all your tiredness. The hotel is at perfect location to shop and walk by kamokawa. Staff were friendly. Very clean. Definitely worth it.

Excellent location to the main shopping district. Very clean very pleasant and helpful staff. Great onsen Hot tub views of Kyoto mountains close by. Lovely hotel to immerse yourself in the culture local traditions and night life. The bar is great, open air sit and soak your feet in the hot springs water on the rooftop. Very cool a must stay location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The onsen and the foot bath were such a treat after walking around Kyoto all day. The view from the rooftop bar was beautiful in a daytime and in the evening. The bed was very comfortable too, so we slept great. Overall, it felt cozy, calm, and very welcoming. Would happily stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sora Niwa Terrace Kyoto. We used it as our hub while exploring Kyoto and doing day trips to Osaka and Nara, and it couldn’t have been in a better location, close to transport, restaurants, and great for walking around the city.

The hotel itself is spotless and beautifully designed, with a calm, relaxing vibe. The rooftop terrace was a highlight! Soaking our feet in the foot spa with a drink in hand after a long day of sightseeing was the perfect way to unwind.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and everything from check-in to checkout felt smooth and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the hotel.

Would absolutely stay here again, highly recommend for anyone visiting Kyoto!

very good location, next to the river and shopping centre, close to train station. The room is very clean and reasonably spacious compared to other hotels in Japan. The amenities are organic. The onsen is amazing and terrace has great view!

Very nice Hotel with lovely Onsen. We enjoyed it every day several times. The Location of the Hotel is very central and Next to all the things and Restaurants we wanted. The roof Terrace is lovely.

The use of the room was very efficiently layer out with comforting wooden materials which is very important in japanese hotels with limited spaces. Every area of the hotel was crisp clean. All you can drink and eat matcha latte and match ice cream were tasty.

Our stay was second to none due to the incredible staff, beautiful amenities/onsen, and clean room. The front desk and greeting staff, specifically “Coco”, were so pleased personable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel special during our stay. As this was our honeymoon trip, they provided us extra drink tickets and a box of sweets in our room. There were free soft drinks, tea, coffee etc. available 24/7, as well as a Happy Hour upstairs overlooking the entire city, PLUS a foot bath to soak in the views! We were so thrilled by our honeymoon stay here and cannot wait to return!

This hotel was brilliant, could not fault at all. Rooms are good size for Japan, clean, comfy, great bathroom with high powered shower. The onsen onsite is amazing and relaxing. Great location for access around Kyoto, train station 200m away, food, nightlife and anything you need at your doorstep. Great value & would stay here anytime coming to Kyoto.

The rooftop offers a stunning view, perfect for relaxing in the evening. The room itself was spotless, and well-equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, including toiletries, a mini fridge, and cozy bedding. Overall, a wonderful experience that made the trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Close to all travel destinations. GREAT BAR and excellent view from the rooftop. Will definitely consider coming again.

We had a really wonderful and relaxing stay here. The spa was definitely a special experience and a highlight here at this hotel. The rooftop has a panoramic view of Gion district and the mountains. They offer free drink to hotel guest in the afternoon so it’s nice to enjoy the drink after a long day. The staff here are super friendly and helpful.
