I stayed for two nights in this centrally located hotel. The windows are double glazed but you can hear street noise.
It was warm but the air con was temperamental and worked for a while and then stopped.
I was glad not to share the room as the bathroom has clear glass doors. Toiletries and slippers are provided and there’s a small hairdryer in the bathroom.
There’s a small lift and the wifi was good.
The hotel provides a buffet style breakfast and while there is a staff member providing coffee, you need to request this as he doesn’t move from the coffee machine.
The best thing about the hotel is the central location, a short walk from Skanderbeu Square and the main street where there are plenty of places to eat.
This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. Maybe it was 50 years ago, but not now.
The location is its selling point. It’s a short walk from the main square and has plenty of shops and restaurants around it.
The hotel itself is small and dated. We stayed in a twin room which had tiny beds and was terribly designed. The bathroom faced the beds - you had to squeeze around one of them to get into the bathroom. The door was a sliding glass door which was almost entirely transparent. Couples might like to give each other a show I suppose, but with friends sharing a room it’s just awkward. If you go to the bathroom in the night and turn on the light it illuminates the whole room and wakes up the other person.
The air con was centrally controlled so you couldn’t change the temperature. It was never cold enough.
The tv was not a smart tv and only had three working channels. A German kids channel, a German sports channel and one Albanian channel. We were told someone was going to come and retune for more channels (this function was locked for us) but they never arrived.
The fridge gave off more heat than it cooled anything down. Not working properly.
We had one curtain at the balcony door.
The mattresses are just placed on top of the bed so slide all over the place when you move.
Breakfast was basic and stone cold. It felt like it had all been sitting out too long. No coffee to be seen.
The hotel states it has free private parking but in reality it has about 3 spaces and then they send you to a lot. That was full too when we arrived so we had to leave the keys with the man who ran it so he could try and squeeze it in.
The staff were all very young and spent most of the time sitting on the sofas in the lobby playing on their phones. The desk was unmanned when we tried to check in and check out. We waited for a full five minutes to check in. One guy was on the sofa and saw us but was obviously too busy on his phone to fetch the appropriate colleague. When the girl arrived to check us out she was helpful and printed our boarding passes for us. But most of the time you have to go and find someone and feel like you are inconveniencing them by asking for help.
I would say this is a 2/3 star hotel. I would not stay here again
We were given a twin room, where the bathroom is literally a step away from one of the single bed. I requested to have the room changed. The young receptionist with glasses and trainee receptionist were very unhelpful when I requested to move to the room next door. The layout was much better and the bathroom area away from the beds. I found them very rude and unhelpful. When I. Asked to speak to the manager they refused to allow this to happen. By far the worst customer service I have received in Albania. The room also came with an unfunctional TV Disappointing to say the least. Definitely will not be coming back. Neither will I recommend this place to anyone. Once they take your money you see a different side to them!!!
Everything correct. The hotel is within walking distance from the main city square and other historical attractions. Breakfast was really good, clean and comfortable rooms, helpful staff. The hotel has parking. I would stay here again.
This is a 3 star hotel... not a 4! Nice, new, clean... but basic breakfast, small rooms, small tv with too less chanels (1 sport and 5 in albanian). Mini bar really mini and fridge not working. Not so friendy in the reception.
Stayed 5 nights in the hotel
Positives:
Great location. 15 mins walk to all attractions
Comfortable bed
Clean property
Parking available
Helpful front desk ( Iva was very helpful )
Breakfast is pretty good.
Lots of bars / restaurants around
Grocery shop next door
A few areas for improvement :
Put a safe in room
Put coffee, tea or Kettle in room
Add English channels on TV
Overall : Good place. Recommended.
Great city, people, food and attractions- Thank You Albania.
Excellent hotel for our one night stay. Very central and close to the square. Our room was a reasonable size with a very large balcony on the first floor. The bed was very comfortable as was the bathroom which had a very good shower.
Breakfast was buffet style and likely the best we have experienced during our two week trip, plenty of choices for everyone's taste. Coffee was good.
Upper floor is recommended to get away from any street noise.
A special mention should go to the reception staff who were excellent and a credit to the hotel....... they were very friendly and helpful, with a warm reception on arrival.
Would happily return. Wish we had stayed longer.
This is an amazing hotel in the chaotic traffic of central Tiran. One of the best option is that they have a parking area, which solves tons of the problems. Most of the ‘must see’ places located very nearby, about 10-15 mins walking distance. Reception staff is helpful. There is no laundry service but there is another one across the street, which is offered by the receptionist.
Thry have minibar with beer, soft drinks and water inside.
Room is pretty clean and large enough. There is elevator inside.
Thanks and recommended.
I had a Deluxe double room with a balcony (25 m2) for two nights. The room was located on the fifth floor, accessible by elevator. Minbar fridge in the room. The hotel is well located in the center of Tirana. The room was functional, clean and also quite spacious. The breakfast was good (buffet style breakfast, lots of vegetables and fruits). In particular, the customer service at the reception is very good, thank you very much. The best way to get to the hotel from the airport is by taxi, e.g. MerrTaxi (10 eur) or by bus (4 eur). About 600 m to the bus station.
This is a very nice and charming hotel in city center of Tirana
The rooms are small but well kept and bed is very good
Has AC and refrigerator,
Breakfast is very very delicious and plenty of varieties , the best thing about this hotel is their staff especially Dora who is also studying for becoming an Dentist and Eva who is doing her masters in Lab Science
Dora has been exceptionally helpful and arranged a taxi for us who took us site seeing all day and also she warmed up our leftover food in their microwave
Eva was also very helpful to find a Indian restaurant for us and finding us taxi to the restaurant
I will recommend this hotel for your visit to Tirana
The best thing that happened to us is choosing this hotel was the location. One can’t ask for any thing better located that this hotel. As it was in the center of everything. The next best thing that happened was meeting this lady called Dora who was absolutely a gem of a person so friendly and always ready to assist you in every way!
We stayed at this hotel for 9 nights we found the rooms to be too small the toilet and the shower was excellent.
The breakfast could’ve definitely been better as we had the same things over the 9 days we stayed there! I mean they should keep changing the menu at least once in away by adding something different. In our last day at breakfast they informed us that the hotel didn’t have butter 😱
Funktionelt, rent og godt, meget venligt personale
A great hotel with a good café within walking distance from the city center. The hotel had a great breakfast and the rooms were great and you can't beat the accessibility of the hotel close to nightlife and all the landmarks in the city. Would definitely come back to this hotel if I ever visit Tirana again.
