Lovely stay, beautiful building inside and out. The staff are very laid back! But aslong as you know that it’ll be fine!
Breakfast was included and was AMAZING.
Such a great selection of breakfast food and drinks.

Smart property, room was spacious, clean and modern, good service, good food, managed to cook us some food late despite kitchen having closed which was pleasing, had a room on main road and quite a lot of noise from road due to old style windows but don’t let that detract from staying here which is very nice and good value.

Friendly receptionist, clean room, no toileteries and the room was very loud from the traffic. Would recommend ear plugs. Pleasent stay none the less

Lovely small scale and personal hotel in attractive town setting. Staff were very helpful / bent over backwards to ensure
ease of arrival, comfort and convenience including easy & free parking, and helping sort out some initial problems with the room.The breakfast was lovely with a good choice of cereals and fruit and excellent scrambled egg on toast. 2 reservations which alas lead me not to give top marks: 1) the building facing as it does the high street and having sash windows meant traffic noise = sleeping difficult. ie needs some renovation to windows (this was explained by staff) 2) this also I guess made ventilation difficult, hence the room was far too stuffy and humid (recent weather!). Result: I didn't get a very good night's sleep! However all that said: full marks for effort, friendliness and a lovely setting. THANKS AGAIN for everything. Mike

The Olive Well is located at a key road junction to the town. Vehicle noise started very early on the Monday morning of my stay so if you are a light sleeper ear plugs would be a good choice.
Great staff, excellent breakfast and very good value.

Enjoyed our stay overall. Our room was a good size, modern and it was clean. Only negative would be the breakfast. Long long wait for the food. We asked for scrambled eggs, what we got was not scrambled eggs.

Second stay in a week as I loved it so much the first time. Was in time to try their evening meal this time (book ahead of you want a meal, they get very busy as they don’t have many tables). Food was delicious. There was a slight hiccup on what I ordered for desert from the menu and what came (supplier misunderstanding and staff didn’t inform me when ordering that it was not as advertised) but the cost was removed from the bill without question. Stayed in a different this time, slightly biggerand just as well thought out.

Everything was really nice.

Was very impressed. The staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are well designed and the bed was extremely comfortable (well for me anyway). Only downfall is parking but there is a pay and display just around the corner. Breakfast was delicious and large with top quality ingredients. Will certainly stay here again and test out their restaurant which includes a pizza oven.
