Beautiful grounds and lobby. I wish we had more time to enjoy the amenities, but we just stayed one night and had concert to attend. Great location for us, as it was in walking distance to the venue. There were more shops and restaurants that looked nice to stop in, but we also could not, due to time. I would definitely go back and explore more. Bed was comfortable, shower had good pressure, cute outdoor seating area.
Absolutely adorable~ beautiful grounds!

Location is the reason to go.
If you're going to name yourself "Shangri La "perhaps consider that the amenities should match the eternal – paradise – where – no – one – ages branding. Hardly the stuff of James Hilton's dreams when your "pool "is actually repurposed as an oversized decorative fountain, ceremoniously gated off with permanent signage reading "POOL CLOSED "a haiku of crushed expectations, really. I was also under the radical impression that "Utopia "might include such luxuries as food and water. Bowl of me. In the lobby. None in the restaurant – unless of course you have "arranged "a reservation with the manager in advance with the understanding that "arrangement "is more of a spiritual concept than a transaction. She may call you back. She may not. The Oracle decides. When I finally tracked down the manager, (Carmen Sandiego style) she informed me that my requested party size of "4 to 5 people "was simply two philosophically vague to merit a response. Four. Two. Five. The ambiguity apparently was paralyzing. So picture this: day two of Paradise. You've already drafted your single half sized bottle of water – yes half sized because in Utopia hydration is ration like wartime sugar. Nobody has visited your room since Check-in. No towels. No refresh. No mint on the pillow. No pillow on the pillow, frankly you return from the beach Hungry, thirsty, sun, glazed, and willing to commit minor crimes for a saltine. you approached the receptionist with the desperate optimism and ask if they sell snacks. Or water. Or anything edible by any species. She points to the only thing available is some electrolyte drinks in a can, each $6. AHHH clever! electrolytes! Just enuf to keep us alive! The place is pretty. Great location. Even the ants in the bathroom hangout. But if Shangri La is the promise, may I suggest a rebrand? "Shrug-ri La", 'Sorta-La", "We Have Towels Eventually-La"?
Beautiful grounds and loved the trees, it was like an amazing botanical garden, excellent food, rooms were comfortable and clean best part and while I did appreciate it, there was no wifi in our room.
The mini fridge in our room was very noisy.
The grounds are beautiful and the room was lovely.
It would have been helpful if when we checked in the staff checking us in had told us there was no housekeeping service unless requested. We were not aware of that. We were also surprised to see a nice tv in the room but it had no connectivity and it was a work in progress. That was not a big deal for us but again, I would have expected that to be shared with us as well.
The images online showed the pool. I was told upon check in when I asked about the pool that it was not in operation and just decorative. The woman assured us that somewhere on their website, this was mentioned and I am sure it was - but I did not see and the images provided online would give most an indication that you have a pool to use.
My husband and I were in Bonita on a work trip. The room was nice, updated and clean. The area was fantastic. Grocery stores were nearby. Coffee shops. Walking distance to shops and food. If you have time to explore, this is the area you want to see.
There was an odor in the room that stayed. We also did not have access to reliable Wifi. We were provided ethernet connections. It was difficult to maintain momentum when we did have access because the connection failed often. The pool was not open and it would have been nice to go for a swim at the end of the travel day before dinner.
Grounds and gardens, stunning. Breakfast 5 star, so was lunch. Outstanding. Very comfortable bed, organic cotton sheets. The most peaceful, relaxing, simply beautiful, and sacred Resort you will find.
That I was unable to stay longer
Such a lovely stay. love the ambiance. only thing they need wifi

This place is absolutely amazing! We will definitely stay here again. I will tell all of my friends. Loved the kitties and lizards on your property. 💜
The pool, but we totally understand, so we got over that part fast. 😊
Booked another trip while there!
Beautiful property, walking distance to a lot
No WiFi
Too expensive for what it was. Room was okay. It only has a restaurant and an overpriced spa.
Very good location, property is nice, easy to get around
The place is beautiful. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The spa was AMAZING! Ask for Raven or Kim they are excellent. I will be coming back!
Great hotel and terrific location. We came for the 4th of July holiday and the hotel was only a few blocks from all of the activities.
