HOTEL LUCA

We have stayed twice at Hotel Luca, and love everything about it. The location is ideal: In the heart of Roma Norte, but on a quiet block right on a park with friendly neighbors strolling and cool outdoor art. Enormous rooms, lovely staff, and the best breakfast ever! It shares an entrance with a great café that is enjoyed by guests and the neighborhood alike. We will return again :)

Location is nothing short of perfect. The surrounding areas in Roma Norte are also excellent. The room itself was nice enough. Good linens, pillows, shower, coffee maker —along with our chamber man Juan—good to great. On the other hand, not sure the front desk or concierge folks deserve anything but a below average grade. C? C- or D+. No warmth, just suits at a desk buzzing open a main door, which is off a coffee shop. Day one. We needed a TV reset. Was corrected on day 3. The toilet seat was flimsy to begin with. On day 2 we asked that it be fixed. The handy man disappeared once he saw the issue and no one came again to correct such that the toilet seat broke on day 4. The suits at the desk spoke broken English. As someone who does not speak Spanish, I suppose I shouldn’t complain, yet this IS a hotel in a dream of a tourist city. In the end, but for the front desk (no warmth, no friendliness), the place would get excellent reviews. The location was the best feature of Luca.

We were so happy we chose this quaint boutique hotel right in the heart of Roma Norte. So many destinations within walking distance or a short uber ride to La Condesa or Polenco. Our room was very spacious, had a lovely terrace which was quite nice although there really wasn't much time to sit out since there's so many sights to see in Mexico City. The bed was super comfy and the room had everything we needed. We faced the back of the hotel and it was very quiet. Our stay included a breakfast on the rooftop and what a wonderful way to start the day. The choices were plentiful ordered off the menu. The food was prepared very well and the presentation was lovely. It was so nice to sit outside and listen to the birds chirping. The servers were also very attentive. The staff at the front desk were very accommodating and friendly and provided water bottles upon request. I had other hotel choices I was going to book but can honestly say we were very happy we chose to stay at Hotel Luca. Would return.

Lovely spacious rooms, very clean, standard amenities, comfortable and large bed! The staff were helpful and polite. On our first night, we had just arrived from our flight but our bags didn’t, the staff were kind enough to give us extra dental and shaving kit. Additionally we happened to be in a room with no door to the bathroom/toilet. This was a bit odd, but when we asked the staff they immediately installed a curtain for privacy. The hotel was quiet in a beautiful, leafy neighbourhood. Enjoyed walking around. The park opposite is a nice little spot!

Couldn’t have been better. Location provides easy walkability to so many wonderful restaurants, shops, museums, parks. Plaza Luis Cabrera, in front of the hotel, is so sweet. Coffee shop at ground level is superb. Hotel vibe is low key, but solid. Well designed modern rooms, quiet, comfy, clean, light. Wonderful breakfast service on lovely roof terrace with charming, helpful staff. Great value!

A perfect hotel to stay at in Roma Norte. Just 2 blocks off the busy main street facing a quiet treed plaza with fountain; so quiet at night and all the action just steps away. A really nice coffee shop is on the ground floor and the breakfasts on the rooftop terrace were lovely, generous and delicious. The front desk staff and breakfast servers were very friendly and helpful, but if you want a grand lobby hotel entrance this isnt it! We stayed in the front facing balcony room (4th floor) and the bed was firm and comfortable and the room was spacious. The bathroom is clean and modern with a big shower. Also the location is very central in CDMX for all your Uber trips. Highly recommend for a Roma Norte stay.

Hotel Luca worked out perfectly for our six nights stay touring Mexico City. It is in a perfect location in walking distance to lots of restaurants, cafés and bars. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wonderful rooftop breakfast is included. Rooms are good size.

The hotel could not be in a better location. It is within a very short walk to lots of great restaurants, bars and coffee shops. If you are into Starbucks, there is one across the street. But you won't need Starbucks because there is a super cute coffee shop on the ground floor of the hotel. Everyone at the hotel was super nice. Our room was spacious and our bed was comfortable. No complaints about the hotel.

If you are vegan, you should definitely book this hotel; it is within a five minute walk to multiple vegan restaurants.

Absolutely perfect location and massive rooms, super cozy beds, pretty hotel, and beautiful breakfasts on their rooftop terrace. You walk through a hip coffee shop to get to reception, and the people couldn't be nicer. This was a great home base after long days of walking with plenty to see, eat and drink in the neighborhood without having to walk a ton more. We had an interior view but really wanted a park view room. I'm sure the park view rooms are outstanding and hope to snag one next time. I was happy just to be able to stay at the hotel no matter the room. I would easily stay here again. Good value for the quiet space, security and location without a doubt. Super safe, a perfect starting point for our first trip to CDMX.
