Overall, a very disappointing experience. We arrived around 11 p.m. after a long flight and ended up waiting in the lobby for over 30 minutes, only to be told our room wasn’t ready. The staff appeared utterly confused and there seemed to be a clear lack of coordination. Eventually, we were placed in a hastily prepared temporary room and assured that our proper
room and luggage would be sorted by 11 a.m. the next day.

Trusting this, we went out and returned around 2 p.m. to quickly shower and change before our 4 p.m. tour, only to be made to wait yet another 30 minutes in the lobby, and then informed that the room was still not available. In the end, it felt like we spent more time waiting in the lobby than actually being in our room. We were clearly not the only ones affected, and " general chaos" seemed like the theme of the hotel.

Good stay but the Indian noisy tourists ruined it for us.

Staff were amazing and food is exceptional. Breakfast amazing range and dinner high quality buffet with made to order naan and starters fresh to your table. Mocktails amazing. Pool man very kind even taught me to swim. Very good chefs at this establishment and people are kind and caring. Even the kids play room lady was so lovely where tgey have a carom board.

-If they have capacity to do this it would be nice on arrival for reception to show you where lifts are, pool towel area etc. Almost a super quick welcome tour.
-Custom breakfasts were very good but it would be nice to know what is included/possible to have.

Not up to the usual Marriott standard of service and cleanliness. Would not stay again

Good location, within walking distance of most things.

Cons:

I really dont like leaving negative reviews but I have to be honest. Here’s a list of things I noted whilst staying.

If you pay in cash don’t expect them to have any change. Every night was the same
Rooms were cleaned through the day for the first few days then had to ask and they would turn up at 7pm to clean when we were in

Rude reception staff Nikita, was told to sit down when trying to check in.
Not the cleanest of places and certainly not Marriott usual standard. The room on our arrival was not a good standard of cleanliness.

Breakfast is chaotic, no clean tables, always running out of things, the demand out weighs the supply, we eventually gave up.
The pool is small and in the shade the majority of the day. And only around 6 sunbeds, hence we didn’t have any pool days.

Key deprogrammed regularly. We would get up to the room after a day at the beach and not be able to get in and have to go back down 6 floors to reception. This happened numerous times during our stay.

Tables round the pool never seem to get cleaned even though there are members of staff stood around. Feels dirty and grubby. Ask for an ashtray and you get a dirty one with someone else’s dock ends still in it.

Returned from the beach one day and took a shower, only to find they had been in and taken the dirty towels and not replaced them. Not ideal having to dry yourself with your beach towel.

We were asked how our stay was when checking out. I replied that it was just ok and that I would leave feedback. He wanted me to give him feedback there and then and asked that we give a 9 or 10 as this is good for the hotel!
Sorry but I am not going to lie. When booking a hotel the first thing I do is read the reviews as I am sure most people do. People want them to be honest.
