Abbiamo soggiornato presso l’Hotel Ottaviano Augusto per una sola notte, io e mio fratello, arrivando in struttura intorno alle 23:00.

Già al nostro arrivo abbiamo avuto alcune perplessità. Siamo stati accolti da quello che presumo fosse il portiere notturno, il quale aveva una conoscenza dell’italiano piuttosto limitata, rendendo difficoltosa la comunicazione. In una città come Roma, capitale d’Italia, trovarsi a dover fare fatica a comunicare in italiano nella propria nazione è stata una sensazione abbastanza surreale.

Al momento del check-in mi è stato inoltre richiesto un addebito di 50 €, senza che mi fosse spiegato in maniera chiara a cosa fosse destinato e senza che mi venisse rilasciata alcuna ricevuta relativa a tale somma. Ho dovuto quindi accettare il pagamento senza avere una spiegazione soddisfacente.

Avevamo con noi il nostro cane, un barboncino toy di taglia minuscola, e ci è stato richiesto un supplemento di 25 € per una sola notte, nonostante il check-in fosse avvenuto alle 23:00.

Devo però riconoscere un aspetto positivo: per il cane la camera era ben predisposta. Abbiamo trovato ciotola per l’acqua, salvietta, cuccia e persino dei biscottini. Peccato che, al contrario, per noi mancasse un intero set di asciugamani. Essendo arrivati molto tardi, non avevamo né il tempo né la voglia di metterci a discutere o chiedere nuovamente assistenza a quell’ora. La mattina successiva, dopo averli richiesti, ci sono stati forniti senza problemi.

Ma il problema più grave è avvenuto durante la colazione.

Siamo scesi intorno alle 8:00 e la sala colazioni era in condizioni a mio avviso inaccettabili per quanto riguarda la temperatura: faceva un caldo soffocante, al punto da rendere difficile respirare normalmente.

Inoltre, a quell’ora gran parte del cibo era già terminata. Le poche brioche rimaste erano secche e in quantità molto limitata.

Pros:

Зручне розташування. До Ватикану пішки, а до основних памʼяток є поряд метро. Комфортний готель. На рецепції допомагаю у вирішенні всіх питань. Відразу біля входу в готель вхід у гарний собор. Тераса на даху.

Cons:

Дорога парковка в готелі і не було мість, як ми проживали, хоча це не проблеми бо біля готелю багато міських місць для паркування (4€ за день через додаток).
