They said we could cancel our booking through Booking.com to get an 8% discount and avoid a 5% fee for using our Creditcard. Not great, why use booking if this is what they do??!! There was no mention of having to pay an extra 5% just to pay the bill.
Paying 5% more, although in the end we did a bank transfer!!!
Excellent breakfast… wonderful staff! Location was awesome and it was a wonderful place to come back to after the chaos outside that is Hanoi! (Good chaos!). Peter our concierge was extremely helpful and suggested the jeep tour which was a highlight and I recommend. The hotel is beautiful and the rooftop bar is an added bonus. Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone I know… and I’m a fussy customer!
Bathroom was a little small - but that’s not really a complaint! Part of a small hotel with limited space.

Nothing
The main thing we liked about the hotel was the staff. When we asked to arrange for transport during our trip, they (Annie and Grace) arranged everything exactly as we requested and following up very closely and proactively checking for missing transfers. We really appreciated this, it ensured a care free stay during this portion of our holiday.
The sky bar and breakfast are highlights.
Location is convenient to visit Hanoi old town, but takes time to reach.

You can't beat the location, just a few minutes walk to the stunning St Joseph's Cathedral and the beautiful cafes and restaurants within this area. The hotel has a great restaurant and roof top bar with stunning views at sunset. The rooms are beautifully furnished and come with Juliette balconies. We stayed 4 nights (we could have easily stayed another week, there is so much to explore in the Old Quarter!!).
A big thank you to Peter and all the staff for making us feel so welcomed and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was simply outstanding. We would definitely recommend GM Premium Hotel when staying in Hanoi.

Location and cleanness
Card payment was not available despite the booking being confirmed, which caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience during our stay. We were made to pay in cash, which was ridiculous because we could not have that amount money with us, because we were expecting payment by card.We were not provided with an official receipt, which is concerning.
After our stay, we were also contacted and indirectly encouraged not to leave a negative review, which felt unprofessional and uncomfortable.
