Great value, fun atmosphere, clean and comfortable room.

Malary, who checked us in, was very friendly and helpful
It's clear they are trying to update the property, and the room itself was nicely decorated with comfortable beds and a nice little workspace. Take advantage of the deal for the restaurant on the same property — had a great meal there.
Still in need of some updates: self-check in didn't work, the windows are painted shut.
The evening fires and some mores were a great plus
Not enough places to hang towels and bathroom was a bit small
Pet friendly with wonderful staff. The atmosphere was fantastic.

I'll be honest, when we first pulled up to the lodge, I was concerned that we had been duped because the exterior is old and took me aback; however, when we walked into the room I was delighted. The room was immaculate (except for one small spot behind the bathroom sink. They let us check in early. The room amenities were all we could have needed, plenty of light, super comfy bed and pillows, hot water on demand. I wish we would have had the opportunity to use the courtyard and the pool.
The TV wouldnt work for us and during the day when there is plenty of traffic on the road that our window faced it was a bit loud but it all quieted down by bed time. They are very leanly staffed so our call went unanswered but the gal who was there called us back right away.
Super cute and convenient. We loved the fire pits and Adirondack chairs. They even have smores ready for the fires. Super close to everything around town.
Rooms are smaller. Bathroom is small.
A terrific motel near downtown Bardstown. This motel has been completely updated without losing its cool 70s vibe. The rooms were extremely comfortable, with coffee maker, a mini-fridge, the cleanest bathroom and tub I think I have ever seen in a hotel of any rating. The sheets were cotton and the bed was very comfortable. Good quality pillows too. It was snowing but I'd like to return in the summer to take advantage of the pool area. It looked like ot would be so much fun! A really nice pool and seating areas around fire pits. The lobby was small but so welcoming and cozy. They have board and card games available to use. Then theres Malary. Malary is the best! She was so welcoming and even gave us her cell number for emergencies... which I had to use after locking myself out of my room at midnight in 20 degree weather. Thank you Malary! You're the cherry on top of the sunday.
I wish we could have stayed longer than one night, and it would have been more fun if it was summer rather than February, 2 days after an ice and snow storm.
The room was great I'm
We liked everything from the room, the pool, the fire pits and the staff! They were all great and helpful with whatever we needed! We can’t wait to stay there again! Bardstown has an awesome downtown area with lots of restaurants to choose from and lots of shoes! We had a good dinner at Scout and scholar and a delicious breakfast at Pat’s!
The only issue was the bright lights outside the room at night. We put towels over the window but it was still bright!
We loved how it was retro-fitted with modern appliances but staying true to its 60s-70s motel origins. Keeping the original window styling and lavatory tile and retro looking sink made it feel so awesome to stay at. The modern appliances also made it luxurious to stay at, especially with the smart tv. A lot better than most standard hotel rooms. The mattress and sheets were also soft and truly comforting as well. The room was also clean and well restored with quality, not just cheaply thrown together.
There wasn’t really much to dislike, everything was exceptional.
It was a very cute older style motel that took the wife and I back to our childhood. The property was very nice and you could tell the owners have put their souls into the remodel. The rooms were nice and clean , the wife did complain about a little musty smell but overall we loved it and look forward to coming back.
