5 star prices but not 5 star service. Don’t waste your money, wish I hadn’t!
Pros:

Staff were amazing, warm and friendly. On night 1 the ac was not working in our room, they kept telling us it would be fixed in 10 minutes. It never was, eventually I went to guest services to see what they could do. They agreed to a transfer of rooms. Wasted half my evening waiting for them to resolve. Collected a bar food menu when I got back at 10.25. Tried to place an order at 10.32, to be told they stopped serving at 10.30, not my fault they wasted my evening but no flexibility. Asked for crisps there were none.

Location is great.

Cons:

So many areas where customers are neglected. For example bar does not open until pool bar has closed. No signs to tell you that. Indoor pool closed, no signs. We had a major issue with our room, no one checked during the rest of our stay to see how we were. Emailed head office 48 hours ago to raise these and other concerns, no reply. Get the feeling they just don’t care. Poor communication and management. 5 star prices but not 5 star service.

Ideal para visitar Oporto, descansando y comiendo bien.
Pros:

Desayuno bufet extraordinario. La localización junto al río y la limpieza general. Camas muy cómodas. La ubicación es buena si entiendes que lo mejor para ir a la ciudad es un Uber de 5 euros que acude en 5 minutos y llega en 10 minutos al centro.

Cons:

Poca cosa, teniendo en cuenta a los niños, que tuvieran repuestos de bolita del futbolín y todas la bolas del billar en condiciones en la sala de juegos.

Worth considering if your travelling to Porto
Pros:

The riverview and pool were excellent, as was the good sized balcony to enjoy the sunset.

Cons:

Some staff were excellent and obviously experienced, whilst many others were lacking in experience. There seemed to be mould or rot in the bathroom.

La ubicación y la habitación

Cons:

A vista general se veía todo bien, pero en cuanto te fijabas un poco había muchos detalles que no corresponden con un hotel de 5 estrellas ni de lejos, como por ejemplo la humedad en las paredes del jardín, las juntas de la piscina que tenían sicaflex sin limpiar, un buffet muy escaso y de muy baja calidad.. Un detalle de tantos fue que en la habitación solo nos dejaron toallas y albornoz para 1 y éramos 2 personas. En el desayuno tuvimos que pedir hasta en 4 ocasiones que nos prepararan la mesa, y cuando lo hicieron, la camarera nos puso los cubiertos con las manos de haber recogido otra mesa con todo sucio y ni las lavó ni hizo el ademán de hacerlo, tampoco pudimos hacer uso de la piscina interior porque estaba cerrada..
Esto es solo una pincelada en 2 días que estuvimos, y aunque el hotel es precioso y tiene una ubicación espectacular encima del Río, las instalaciones y servicio no van acorde a sus 5 estrellas.
