Managed by a private host
Beautiful property and excellent location.
Nothing
Good place to stay
I liked everything
Perfect location. Within walking distance to everything
The property was well managed, so cute and authentic and well kept up. No issues during ournstay at all.
Only think that would of been nice was a little more sun at the pool so maybe a few trees could be trimmed to allow more sun at pool. But given location part of the day won't have fun at pool.
We stayed here for five days with our two children (7&10). Central location was great. It is just one block away from Centro so it was not super quiet. We kicked the fan up at night and had no problems. If you are staying at n central Sayulita you are going to get bar noise….just part of the deal. Easy walk to the beach, shopping, meals, everything really.
Not much of a negative but we got a golf cart from a friend of the hotel. It got scratched overnight, it was a bit of a misunderstanding on both sides. No big deal but if you go this route, make sure you get a contract.
The pros: You are right downtown and a block from the beach. The entire hotel is super clean. Our room was always spotless. The staff were wonderful and can speak some English. Our bed was firm which we prefer so we slept very well. Our room had no outdoor space which was a bit of a bummer as we love sitting outside but there was a common area we used. Try to request a room around the pool as they have lovely patios.
The cons: if you like quiet, this is not the place. We like the hustle and the noise did not bother us. The place needs a bit of TLC here and there. Bare light bulbs and taps that need replacement. But nothing too serious. The architecture is lovely and very Mexican. We would stay again.
We love the property and location
Staff are so friendly
Great location, staff were great
I love staying here. It is quiet in the center courtyard and everything is very low key. I wasn't looking for a glitzy resort, but a place that was clean , comfortable, reasonably priced and with pleasant staff. I love the fact the I had the pool to myself.
The room we had was a bit dark because the only window was the sliding glass door, but that really didn't matter because I was out and about during the day.
It’s in the perfect location yet very secluded.
The water was out
This is our 3rd time staying here in 4 months. We love this place!
Could not be located more conveniently, steps from the central square and 3 minutes to the beach. Lots of great restaurants and shops right out the front door. Our room was incredibly spacious and super comfortable. The bed was really great, well appointed kitchenette and a nice little seating area.
Despite being so centrally located, the property felt really safe and secure. We had zero issues with noise at night which was extra impressive given we were there during semana santa and there was a big sound stage set up in the square.
Wifi was strong, which was great because my partner needed to do some work while we were visiting. The staff were warm and welcoming, always around with a friendly smile.
We would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone who is looking to be close to the action but values their privacy and quiet!
The location of the hotel was really great. Easy access to everything. Everything walking distance. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable (though for me, the pillows were a bit too hard). The kitchen space was stocked with the things we needed and it was nice to have a full-size refrigerator/freezer, a full-size microwave, and a 2-burner stovetop was a great bonus.
It would be nice if the pool was heated, but despite that, my husband and kids still had fun using it. There is some noise from a bar not too far away, but we had no issues sleeping through it. Some people may want earplugs though.
Location
Noise from traffic and the bar across the street
The best location, right in the middle of the city and close to everything. Love this hotel. So charming and the staff is welcoming and helpful!
We stayed a week and loved the location, one block from the plaza at the center of town and 3 short blocks from the beach. The bungalows themselves were a little oasis in the bustle that is Sayulita. Once we were through the brightly colored doors, with a smile from the front desk staff, we felt safe and comfortable, the lush tropical foliage a reminder of why we traveled to Mexico. The walls and foliage block out all distractions but the sounds of the village with music often playing until early morning. Fortunately, the rooms are sound proofed and a little white noise from the ceiling fan or a personal device allowed us to sleep soundly. Plus, there is always time for a siesta. The staff was ever present from 9A to 9P with whatever you needed and although most spoke little or very little English, all engaged heartily with whatever Spanglish/hand gestures/translate application efforts we put forth to ensure that our needs were met. Our room (a poolside 2-bedroom) was perfect for our family of 4. It included a full-size fridge (oft used for delicious leftovers), a little gas range and a microwave (unused) for cooking at the room, but the local cuisine was so plentiful, delicious & accessible, we did not prepare any meals for ourselves besides breakfasts.
These comments could be a positive for some and we loved our stay, but there were a couple of mild surprises you should prepare for. The small inner pool area, like all local pools, was unheated, which would be perfect in the heat of summer, but was less inviting during our stay in February where the temperatures were mid 70's, particularly since the pool area, because of its lush foliage, did not collect early morning or late afternoon sun. The pool area is a tight spot with walkways surrounding it, but it would benefit from a couple of lounge chairs rather than just the seated chairs that line it currently. Additionally, although the lodging provides parking, it is off-site (1/4 mile uphill walk) and locked (a benefit), but it makes your vehicle less accessible except through the staff. Honestly, however, renting a car was the largest mistake of our trip. For a relaxing Mexico vacation, you needn't leave Sayulita.
