Toplocatie voor enkele nachten. Mooie parkomgeving en complete rust.
Pros:

Wat een locatie!
Een privé-park met leuke, van elkaar gescheiden verblijven. Ruime huisjes.
Ruim zwembad.
Supervriendelijk personeel.
Het domein is in werkelijkheid nog mooier dan op foto.

Cons:

Het restaurantgedeelte is was wat vreemd opgevat. We waren opnieuw bijna de enige gasten, maar dienden soms lang te wachten op eten. Ietwat vreemde sfeer, maar heel lekker gegeten.

Pros:

Kindness of people and care of service was perfect.
Food from the restaurant was very good and high level. A more refined restaurant environment and maybe an outdoor setting would definitely upgrade the stay.

Cons:

The bungalow can be incredibly hot, we tried to relax in the afternoon but it was impossible due to the heat and low power of the air conditioning system. We were assigned the only bungalow right under the sun, others are under tree shade...maybe it's better.
In general, outdoor maintenance could be improved.

Acceptable, the place has great rooms, lots of potential, but passive staff and a dirty pool
Pros:

While the entrance looks quite messy, the interior with the huge pool garden looks very nice and is a great space to just chill. The rooms are very large and well equipped, beds are nice, shower great, airco fine.

Cons:

The pool was very dirty and the filtering was turned off, it felt like a chemical bath. The restaurant only does indoor seating which is a shame because you're looking at this fantastic garden and you're sitting in the cold. The food was ok but we avoided eating there whenever we could.

The main problem is that the staff was rather passive. We arrived, took a while for them to recognize new guest entered. Pool towels don't get restocked, the pool was dirty and didn't get cleaned except once in the morning, and while eating nobody came to offer drinks or water. But then again there's dozens of staff pretending to be very busy and there were hardly any guest

Good rooms poor amenities
Pros:

Very spacious rooms which were clean. Friendly reception staff who were very helpful with booking transport.

Cons:

Don’t bother with the restaurant, long wait, rude waitress, bugs in the food. Pool wasn’t clean.

Everything was just wondefull! The location so close to the Sigiriya rock, the holiday house, the pool, the food, live music in the evening, festival for the Sri Lankan New Year next day, flexibility, kindness and help of the members of staff, thank you!!

Lovely resort and superb safari
Pros:

Fantastic stay at Nivadoo. The ongoing building works didn't matter to us... the room, pool and staff were excellent. Plus the safari we booked through them was our trip highlight.

Nous nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille

Une chambre très confortable, et tout confort avec une clim silencieuse. Le petit déjeuner était très bon. Et la piscine aussi.

Pros:

The resort is located close to the main road that leads to the attractions.
The staff are very courteous and will do their best to make your stay comfortable
The family room that we stayed in was very spacious. Kids particularly liked the canopy beds.
The washroom was clean
We had breakfast at the resort and it was delicious. The chef prepared fresh items like omelette and waffles on the live counter

Cons:

The swimming pool was not clean and no one seemed to be using it
There was a drain in our washroom which didn’t have a cover, cockroach crept in from that
It rained the night we were in sigiriya. There was one spot on the roof of our room from where rainwater was dripping. Luckily it was not on top of the bed or any other furniture so it didn’t cause us any discomfort but it will help if such leakages are checked and sealed
