Nice for a short stay
Pros:

The hotel and room were clean and with very nice breakfast, location is convenient for main attractions (generally a bit hilly) , toiletries are available and we had a really nice view in the Bosforus side room. Staff accommodated our request and changed a room that was too small compared to what we expected for a double deluxe - we appreciated the fast reaction. We loved the cats on the property. There is a nice farewell gift offered which is a nice hospitality touch.

Cons:

The building is very old so rooms are smaller than expected and there was some peculiar smell in the room due to old piping. Bosforus rooms are facing the train so are a bit noisy. There is no direct hallway between some rooms areas and restaurant and guests have to cross exterior garden for breakfast, based on where they are accommodated (had to carry jacket at all times). Staff insists on having a maximum 10 review score thus Booking scoring can be altered which invalidates the purpuse of reviews - I didn’t appreciate the nudge, though it is rather specific for Istanbul.

Unser Aufenthalt im Mula Hotel in Istanbul im März war hervorragend. Das Hotel überzeugt mit seiner Top-Lage, nur wenige Gehminuten von den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten entfernt, sowie mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf den Bosporus. Das Ambiente ist hochwertig und gleichzeitig sehr einladend.

Das Personal war während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts äußerst freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit, sodass man sich sofort willkommen fühlt.

Die Zimmer sind modern, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die hervorragende Schallisolierung, trotz der zentralen Lage konnten wir sehr ruhig schlafen.

Auch das Frühstück hat uns überzeugt: Neben einem guten Buffet kann man zusätzliche Gerichte à la carte bestellen, was für eine angenehme Auswahl sorgt.

Wir waren rundum zufrieden und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

A great accommodation in the old city area close to the major attractions
Pros:

Great safe old city location 10 minutes walk from Agia Shopia. Very kind well dressed and helpfull staff. Excellent cleanliness in all hotel areas and rooms. Brand new renovated rooms with all amenities and sea view room with nespresso machine. New windows that can fold and allow air to flow into the room. Breakfast room super clean and pleasant staff with offerings a large choice of omelletes, sunny side eggs up, nespresso cafes and botled water and new cotton white table covers and fresh flower on the table.

Cons:

occasional small train noise from the sea view rooms but nothing to bother about since the new double windows provide a good insulation.
