I’ve been li ing in Bali for nearly 3 years and stayed in many different resorts but this one is by far hands down the best with young professional kind staff too to bottom! I will always stay here when I come to. USA Pineda and highly recommend them to everyone I know.
Støy fra bønnerop flere ganger daglig. Ok mat. Ellers supert!
This property had a beautiful location right on the waterfront and comfortable rooms. The staff was incredibly polite, professional and welcoming. The only thing I’d note was that there were many steps between the lobby, rooms and pools that might be unsuitable for some guests. It’s easy to get a taxi but the area around the resort isn’t really walkable, if that’s what you’re looking for.
Overall the hotel is nice. Fantastic location, fantastic view and the rooms were super nice too. Everyone on staff were good and nice people. But they lack direction and training in being service oriented. We had to flag them down everytime we needed something in the pool or restaurant. Service needs to improve by simply coming by the table and ask if everything is OK or if someone needs another drink or food item. They would sell much more and service and would be much better. Also, I give a low rating because of the mosque that has a VERY LOUD speaker system and starts prayers broadcastet directly towards the hotel at 4:30am. Not sure why the mosque is allowed to do this. I accept and respect different cultures and religions, but this was simply harassment behaviour…
We stayed in a Sea Front Pool Villa at Sea la Vie, and were quite disappointed, especially considering the high price.
The sea view was nice, and we could see the volcano when visibility was clear.
However, there were quite a few disappointing points,
The access road is in terrible condition—almost undrivable—and you’ll have to pay at least 100k IDR for a 15-min ride to get in or out. DO NOT follow the walking route given by google maps if you’re carrying heavy luggage !
At night, walking is unsafe due to the isolated forest path.
The villa doesn’t match the photos: cheap materials, minimal furniture, and fake grass. It feels poorly built for the price.
The restaurant is overpriced (80k–120k IDR) and the food is low quality, including breakfast.
A few important things to know:
• Many stairs, not suitable for everyone
• No direct sea access – you can’t swim from the hotel
Overall, the price-to-quality ratio is absurdly bad. Would not recommend.
Incrivel. Super recomendo
I liked the sea view, pool, restaurant ( nice food)
The property claims beach front, but it is not safe swimming.
The spa area is not inspiring, but the massage and facial were very good
You cannot beat the view of Sea la Vie in Nusa Penida! A beautiful infinity pool where you can see the harbor and sunset. Small swim up bar for convenience and a very kind staff! Our room was clean and so nice with a great little balcony. Be prepared for LOTS OF STAIRS. Air conditioning was legit.
Absolutely stunning views
It has a great view of the ocean and the place is well maintained for a secluded location at the the top of the hills. Would definitely need a taxi or a ride to get there as the road were quite rough.
Great ocean view
Pool location was great, temperature controlled water in the pool is the best. Good breakfast.
Road works around the property making it far to reach from the port and local market.
Sea La Vie (Nusa Penida), is a beautiful well maintained hotel with modern clean rooms.
Staff are very attentive and happy to go above and beyond.
Considerng the hotel is far from any restaurants, their food menu is very limited and very little flexibilty to make changes to suit particular dietary needs.
The hotel would not suit the elderly or young children, as it is set on a hillside overlooking the harbour / sea and has large steps to negotiate for moving around the hotel.
The main strip is a stone throw away, however there is no walking access and the taxi ride takes 15 minutes and costs 150k idr each way.
The access road is single lane and not maintained or any regards given to it by the topend hotels that use it, therefore taxis are very reluctant to take the fare or charge a premium.
Overall a reasonable hotel, but personal opinion is it would be better to stay at an accommodation close to the eastern side of the harbour, for ease of access to shops, restaurants and taxis.
Wonderful views from the front row villas, room service, good wifi, attentive staff and snorkeling tours right from their private “dock” were all highlights. Yes, access to the property was an adventure (we only left the property via boat while we were there for 4 nights) and certain details were a little rough around the edges but par for the course for not being a large western branded property. Call to prayer from the nearby mosque 5 times a day is very apparent especially at 4am (yes not kidding, and it lasts upwards of 30mins each time), the resort provided ear plugs but we were still a little jet lagged and up at that time anyways so went with the flow… overall we went in knowing what to expect based on other reviews and had an enjoyable stay! A unique experience for sure!
X
Lovely hotel but not for the immobile as on a cliff side so very steep stairs to reception area
Our hotel room was superb, location from hotel has beautiful views of the beach. The pool and pool bar is great to buy drinks. Nice beach club vibe, very chill music and a place to relax and recuperate. We did not really like the menu, found it limiting. You need some type of transport to get around anywhere, such as shops. Short access to nearby restaurants/shops is off track and involves some climbing. Fair amount of fitness required.
