Tolle Lage, schöne Zimmer

Cons:

Hotel ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, zumindest am Pool und auf der Terrasse sonst Top.

Location and view are awesome. 1 hsk service was provided per stay

Cons:

Everything was great, until we recognized that the windows locks were broken. As we are both have troubles with sleep, we didn't rest properly in the apartment as we could hear the ocean 24/7. That was really dissapointing

What an Unforgettable Experience of my Life
Pros:

I like the sea view I can see through my window. It's very close to the mini mall with eating places and I walked everyday along the seaside plus other streets browsing some shops. It's a lovely place plus the weather is good this time of the year. Sometimes towards the night it can be cold but not as freezing like the place where am living. I would like to come back again if I have the chance because you need to pay with regards to your flight, accommodation, your food, going to day tours, seeing other places what the country has to offer.

Cons:

When I went on a day tour the couch has to drive along zigzag road which was narrow and two way system. Most of the time our interpreter on that day has to get out of the bus to demonstrate to our driver how to manoeuvre the bus while the opposite side the cars and other vehicles have to stop and wait for their turn to movd. I was so worried that very moment cos the coach was going up the mountain which was worrying. Most of the time I hold my breath and we managed to go slowly down the mountain and our driver was able to drive smoothly on a level road.

Tenerife proved to be rather 3rd world-ish, and Puerto is over-developed for tourists.
Pros:

The view from the window was good and the apartment was spotlessly clean. It was convenient for supermarkets and for walking around Puerto de la Cruz. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom good.

Cons:

I sent a message asking for extra bedding befiore we arrived as was told it was in the room. But there was one blanket, and since there was no duvet for the sofa bed. we had to use the blanet to keep our daughter reasonably warm at night. The next day the cleaner found us two blankets and that made us all more comfortable at night. There were no dinner plates, only small plates and soup dishes. We had expected to see the ocean while we had breakfast, but the table was against a wall and the ocean view depended on two small windows, one of which had a notice on it to say it was broken. The sofa bed we struggled to operate but during the day it was the only comfortable seat. This meant three of us sitting in a line - fine if you jst want to watch the TV, we we like to read and talk. A comfortable chair would have been welcome, rather than having to use the hard plastic chairs around the table. The lighting in the main room was poor for reading. The tiled floor was suitable for kitchen and bathroom but it was throughout the apartment, giving it rather a stark feel. A coffee table would have been good. The apartment is clearly designed for the owners to manage with minimun effort when it came to cleaning. When the induction hob stapped working one evening, the only number to ring for help was the mergency number - and the person who responded was irritated that this was not an emergency in his book, and put the phone down on me. It was sorted the next day - but worth noting any minor problems can only be dealt with when the reception was open - from 9.30am to 5.30pm. After that, you're on your own.
