Pros:

Property and room was great. Pictures did it justice.

Location was appalling. Very difficult to access and even more difficult for taxi services to locate the property due to narrow roads, incorrect google map for road access and limited signage

Pros:

We were quite shocked when we got to Uma Shanti Villa. When we booked we trusted that Expedia had the correct information on the hotel, but we were essentially lied to by the ad as the hotel is not close to anything. You will need a motorcycle to get anywhere from the hotel and the directions listed with Expedia are also incorrect and will send you to the wrong location! The road going to the villa is barely safe for cars. The villa itself was beyond beautiful, the room was clean and the beds weren’t the comfiest but were not the worst. We did have to ask for fresh towels as we were there for 4 days and didn’t get any when they cleaned our rooms, the staff was super kind and helpful and helped us book a motorcycle right at the hotel, the motorcycle we got was not in amazing shape but got us to and from where we needed but beware of the break system if you rent one as we were a bit nervous going down hills and barely made it up the hills !
