Good rooms, brilliant staff.
Pros:

A shout out to the great staff at Snug. Made my stay a great one. Hugely helpful and friendly. Rooms are what they are, small. Beds are decent for those looking for a good nights sleep. Can't get closer to the heart of Galway.

Pros:

What a great place right down in the heart of the action. We loves the convenience of the location to the shopping, restaurants, and bars. it was nice and central so you could walk to he west side of Galway as well. The staff was friendly and check in was super quick and easy. The room was definitely SNUG but it was to be expected. The ear plugs were also a great touch being right in the middle of action. We didn't need to use them as we were so tired anyway. Great spot! We would totally visit again!

Pros:

Very very noisy from the street. The air conditioner leaked all over our stuff. But the beds were great!!!

Pros:

property is perfectly located in the Spanish Arch area of the old city. What I didn't like was the room was too small for two people; a bit noisy like motor running; and no where to refrigerate drinks or snacks. Felt the place was pricy without having these things available.

TINY clean and comfortable rooms
Pros:

Friendly staff clean rooms. The room was tight for two people having to climb over one and other to get out to the bed and no other place to sit. Perfect spot for a solo traveler that only wants to sleep abs shower in the room.

Pros:

The rooms are very small. Good for one traveler in a room, but we had two different rooms (the larger size price) and both had the bed surrounded by the wall on 3 sides so tough for a couple. The hotel is in the middle of the bar area - even on a Monday night in late September the music was loud like it was inside your room very late, so plan on using the earplugs they provide. But was clean and right in the middle of the tourist area.

Clean, Snug, impersonal
Pros:

Recently my Wife and I stayed at the Snug Townhouse in Galway. The room was clean and snug. There was no breakfast provided (which we knew at the time of booking), which was a first for us in what is a fairly expensive establishment. We found on experience the lack of breakfast didn't work for us. We also found the Snug Townhouse a tad impersonal and lacking in those simple things that define a quality establishment.....such as a choice of teas in the room, a complimentary bottle of water, a welcoming and information pack about Galway and surrounding areas e.g. a list of recommended cafes and restaurants that offered breakfast would have been useful in the room. A more communicative & welcoming approach by the staff would have been nice too. Ending on the positive.... although it was noisy due to it's location on the main drag we could not fault it's position in the heart of Galway.

Great place in the heart of town!
Pros:

This place is great. Just a black door on a very busy street! We were in room 12 and couldn’t hear anything from the streets. 54 square feet of comfort! It was just what we needed. A place to sleep and shower! We didn’t need a big room!
Earplugs are provided but again we didn’t need them!

Pros:

It is quite loud until 2am so if you are a light sleeper and not planning to stay out late at the bars you might have trouble sleeping

Pros:

As the name implies, the rooms are tiny. However, you’re in the middle of everything and so many pubs and shopping right nearby. If I stayed there again, I would get my own room. I traveled with my sister so it was a bit cramped. Outside noise will keep you up if you are an early to bed person. It quiets down around midnight. For our needs, it worked out ok but we stayed just 2 nights.

A little Snug but did the trick
Pros:

The name of the hotel describes the rooms - snug - but you are not in Galway for the room. The location and service are excellent.

Pros:

I loved everything about this hotel. The room was definitely "Snug" but the design layout definitely made the room very functional. The staff was welcoming, with a wonderful sense of humor. The location was absolutely perfect, and allowed us to even enjoy the liveliness of the street below our window. I loved the energy!

Note: The hotel has no elevators and is not in a peaceful spot.

SMALL (snug!) but a delight
Pros:

The bad: The room is the smallest I've ever seen... there is a 3'x6' carpeted area (which is where the door swings open), and otherwise no floorspace. Similarly, you can set on the 3' edge of the bed that is exposed, or the toilet... there is no chair, or other place to sit.
The good: Everything else. The location is perfect. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the staff very friendly.
I definitely recommend this, as long as you are not planning to spend time relaxing in the room. If you are just using it as a home-base to explore the city and then sleep at night, it is perfect.
Misc: We had a rental car and we were able to park in a garage next door for EUR12 per night.

Pros:

Great staff. Great location. Room was very clean. The only negatives were the noise from the street, but we knew about that going in. Its worth staying here for a night just to party in the Latin Quarter.

Pros:

It’s a perfect place to stay, a bit overpriced but it’s what we have. Also if you can’t sleep with noise I don’t think it’s a good place since is basically in the middle of the party 🎶 (I’m not complaining) last but not least the mattress were amazing.
