We liked the Hilton hotel in Plovdiv in terms of conditions and service, but there are serious problems with correctness.

The parking fee was announced in the preliminary email as 10 BGN per day, and on site we were asked for 20 BGN, which is misleading and unacceptable.

An even more serious problem is the hotel's refusal to accept payment in Bulgarian levs. Although it was explained to us that from January 1, 2026, both euros and levs will be accepted for one month, the hotel refused to accept levs, which are the official currency of Bulgaria. This is contrary to the law.

Such behavior does not meet the standards expected from an international hotel chain like Hilton.

Plovdiv DT Hilton for the Holidays
Pros:

This is my third time here and the Hilton Doubletree in Plovdiv did not disappoint. I lived the holiday atmosphere inside the hotel. The staff was so helpful and inviting. My room was immaculate - clean with a view and quiet. I also ate twice at the hotel restaurant and it was amazing for both pasta and pizza. The breakfast buffet is the best around. The town center is about a 10 minute walk and the Christmas Market was beautiful. 10 Stars and I highly recommend for both business and pleasure.

Pros:

Enjoy the clean, electric tea kettle in room for a quick decaf or high octane cup of Joe. Comfortable mattress, great water pressure, no problems. Also, enjoy the fabulous breakfast: massive variety beyond scrambled eggs and bacon. Explore first then dish up. Walking distance to Old Town.

Хотелът предлага всичко, което всеки гост на града може да иска и очаква - отлично местоположение, просторни стаи с всички удобства в тях - удобни матраци, страхотни възглавници, кът за сядане, маса за гладене и ютия, сейф, добре зареден минибар. Баните са също просторни, оборудвани с всичко необходимо - сешоар, увеличително огледало и всички тоалетни принадлежности. Изключително предимство е СПА зоната, където, човек може страхотно да релаксира. Фитнес също - не съм ползвала, но определено е добре оборудван. Има два ресторанта, които покриват всички очаквания. Навсякъде хигиена и обслужване са на високо ниво. Има паркинг за гости с автомобили. Отсядали сме в няколко хотела в Пловдив, но определено това е мястото, където винаги ще избираме отново и отново, когато сме гости на града.
