Lovely property, excellent hosts!

Great hotel near the beach! Owners live on site and are very friendly and provide great recommendations for everything to do around the area. No tv in room but plenty of things to entertain you nearby

Everything was fantastic.

We really enjoyed staying at Casa Swell. It has a wonderful vibe in a semi-rustic setting. There are a limited number of rooms around a lovely pool. Beside the pool is an ample shared area, no walls but under a roof, including a large shared kitchen. They do not offer meals except for breakfast but each room is assigned space in a fridge/freezer and a cupboard in the kitchen. It is well-equipped for cooking.

Everyone from "J" (the owner) and his family to other guests were friendly. He came to pick us up from the center of Coronado rather than have us bother with a taxi. Coronado is a small town and Casa Swell was able to hook us up with good information on places to eat, realtors to use, and other tricks of life there.

We liked it so much that when we decided to reduce our time elsewhere to focus on Coronado, I just called J and said, "Block a room!" It is not elegant or fancy, but if you want a small oasis to relax amid "friends", Casa Swell is an excellent option.

My friend and I had a fantastic time staying at Casa Swell. It felt like a very “homey” environment and Jay was extremely helpful with recommendations and accommodations.

Fantastic experience at this property. The host went above and beyond to help make our stay great. Recommendations for areas to look at, restaurants, etc.. were spot on. Property is well taken care of and very clean. AC works great, nice pool and good breakfast. Highly Recommended !

The reviews are true! This is a little piece of heaven in Coronado, which also has excellent WI-Fi. Super friendly host who’s French and can give you an unbiased opinion about the area. He had great recommendations for places to go. Also the breakfast was delicious!
The room was just as pictured. It had its own quiet A/C you can set to whatever you want, or there is a screen door so you can just have fresh air.
The outdoor kitchen area is very large with two gas stoves, two sinks and everything you need to cook. You’ll have space in the refrigerator. It’s part of a huge covered area with tables, chairs, couches, hammocks, pool table and large BBQ. All that is next to the pool area. I’ll add pictures because it’s hard to tell in the hotel pics.
You could really rent all 5 rooms and have a family or friends reunion.
Also, small but important detail, the pillows are super high quality! That’s sometimes annoying. I was so happy about that!
It was a very safe place. There is a large, heavy gate and walls around the property but you can’t see them because of the lush foliage. This a part of Coronado that is already a gated community, but this gives extra privacy and safety.
It’s a short 5 minute walk to the beach.
I can’t say enough good things. I highly recommend this place!!! I have my face in the pics so you can see this is not a fake review! :-)

Très bon endroit où séjourner. Belles chambres neuves, GRANDE aire commune bien équipée, avec hamac, tables, billard, etc. Propriétaire TRÈS aidant et disponible (même à distance lors de mon séjour, très réactif sur WhatApp), ainsi que les house sitters sur place. C'est évident qu'ils souhaitent un bon séjour à leurs invités. Merci Jay, Sébastien et Jacinta, j'ai beaucoup aimé!

Excellent stay, host is exceptional

Casa Swell is a beautiful property and Jay was a wonderful host - he even picked us up at the bus stop and gave us a ride to his place without us even asking! Unfortunately, I was sick during our stay but, again, Jay came through with a doctor recommendation and even made an appointment for me. The pool and common outdoor areas are lovely and we met some really nice people during our brief stay!

Very quiet and friendly atmosphere. Met several couples at the pool and cabana area. Excellent facility to cook your own meals. Pool was very nice.

Jay was very accomodating and helpful. Highly recommended.

We stayed 2 nights at this wonderful place🤩 The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with freshly squeezed mango juice. This is a small and quiet place with 5 rooms set in a beautiful garden with a swimming pool. Free parking right outside, and 10 minutes to walk to a large beach that you will have almost to yourself🌴☀️ The owner is very friendly and gave us useful tips about things to do in the area🌸 This is a true hidden gem💎

Wonderful management great communication available 24/7. Excellent air conditioning, fan and Wi-Fi. Rooms very silent, outdoor kitchen, and barbecue to cook and store food supplies. Breakfast available on request. Would definitely recommend and will return.

Casa Swell is a perfect place for a couple of days of relaxing by the pool in a beautiful garden and swimming in the ocean from quiet beaches. Jay is a helpful host who will make your stay memorable. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Jay's property in April 2023 and had such a fabulous time! The room was comfortable and clean, the pool was wonderful and the outdoor kitchen and lounging areas are delightful. The beach is a 5 min walk away. Jay gave us excellent recommendations for dining and hiking and exploring. Not one suggestion was a miss at all. Jay and Eva do a great job of balancing warm, comfortable and accommodating hosting while also giving you space to relax. We will definitely come back and we felt as though we were visiting with friends from the first few minutes. We look forward to seeing you soon! Thank you for a lovely time.

Tucked away in a quiet spot close to restaurants and the ocean is this beautiful spot to relax and enjoy life.

The rooms are very nice. The property is incredible. The owners are awesome.

The outdoor kitchen is a great set up. You can store food and drink, cook, or just hang out. The wifi is also strong. I worked by the pool while there and never had any issues.

All of this and just minutes from all of the shopping in Playa Coronado. Definitely recommend!
