Pros:

I’m usually very careful when choosing a hotel. I pay close attention to the room type, the location, and I compare the price with other hotels. I check the views, the room details — I analyze and compare everything thoroughly before making a decision.

The hotel I’m reviewing now is located in the very best area of Florence. The design and overall aesthetic feel truly luxurious and refined. There is also a beautiful lounge area for guests, which is absolutely stunning — from the color palette to the interior design and overall atmosphere.

The staff were excellent, and the breakfast, although small and simple, was of very good quality.

I will explain more in detail in the section below regarding the negative points.

Cons:

The hotel offers two types of double rooms: a Classic Double Room and a Superior Double Room. When you look at the photos of the Superior Double Room, you see different layouts, including rooms with a double sink and a bathtub placed in the middle of the room. It creates a very special feeling — especially if you’ve had a long journey and want to relax, or if you’re traveling as a couple and looking for a more unique experience.

For that reason, you overlook the price difference between the Classic and Superior categories and choose the Superior Double Room.

Unfortunately, when we arrived late at night after a long trip, we were given a room that had neither a bathtub nor a double sink. In my opinion, it felt no different from a Classic Double Room. I discussed this with the hotel, explaining that this was not what we expected. They insisted that since the room was larger in size than the Classic category, it qualified as a Superior room.

However, the photos shown under the Superior category clearly display bathtubs, double sinks, and city views. We did not have a city view, and we couldn’t even properly open the window — it faced a lower-level area and nearby buildings, which made the atmosphere quite disappointing.

We expressed that we were not satisfied. The hotel offered to change our room the following day and mentioned they had availability, including a duplex-style suite. Although that room was better, the bathtub was inside the bathroom, not placed in the open layout as shown in the photos.

Since we had arrived late and were very tired, we decided not to change rooms. The next day we spent the entire day exploring Florence and only returned late at night to sleep, leaving early the following morning.

I explained that this situation was not acceptable and that, at the very least, the price difference between the Classic and Superior categories should have been refunded. Unfortunately, no refund was offered.

Ótima pela localização, não tinha recepção à noite, falta gentileza.

Cons:

Atendente da recepção bem grosseira, revirou os olhos quando perguntei uma coisa… não tinha recepção 24h (a noite não tinha ninguém)… A porta era aberta com senha, inclusive a do prédio (não nos sentimos seguros). Café da manhã começava às 8h, achamos muito tarde.

The location terrific. The ease of the personal code system for access. Breakfast great.

Cons:

Room was down long winding hallway which felt a bit isolated especially knowing no one at reception. If I returned, I would definitely ask for a room closer to the stairwell.
