Amazing, and would stay again!
Pros:

While checking in, my reservation credit card wasnt working, and Nick was so patient and worked with me; I ultimately ended up putting it on a different card, but he was amazing and tried to troubleshoot with me. Hands down the best check in experience ever!

Cons:

I can't say there was anything I didnt like, other than maybe that I didn't have the time to check out the restaurant.

They need to improve
Pros:

Clean and looks nice

Cons:

Impossible to sleep in the room. AC is super loud, which makes the room feel like you are sleeping in an airplane engine....

Comfortable stay, friendly staff and centrally located.
Pros:

The hotel is centrally located with easy access to free parking. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The room was large and very comfortable for our family of 4. The common spaces were inviting and elegant. We had a wonderful stay.

Cons:

The hand-held shower was very awkward to use (poor design). The air-conditioning in the room was a little loud and there didn't seem to be a vent in the bathroom to de-fog after a shower.

The Lockwood Hotel in Waterville, Main is a gem!
Pros:

We spent a few days at The Lockwood Hotel in Waterville, Maine. Everything about the hotel was 5 stars. First and foremost all the people on the staff we interacted with were friendly, competent, knowledgeable and happy to help us. The dining room waitress was especially helpful in suggesting selections. Food was excellent. Loved the way they made asparagus - crisp - and mac and cheese. The rooms were well-made with good beds and linens. Overall the entire place was clean, well maintained and a pleasant place to stay.

Nightstand Comes with Earplugs Instead of Chocolate…Guess Why
Pros:

This hotel has had a jet-engine roaring out of its AC units since the day it opened, years ago. Management has known the entire time. Every guest complains. Their fix? Not a repair but a pair of earplugs, pre-placed on your nightstand, waiting for you like it's routine. Because it is. That's not an amenity, it's a confession. You don't leave earplugs instead of chocolate unless you've fully given up and just budgeted for the complaints instead of the compressor.

Years of guests losing sleep, years of the same known defect, and they still charge full price like they're delivering a five-star stay instead of a runway simulation. That takes a special kind of nerve charging premium money for a room they know will keep you awake, then handing you foam plugs at check-in as if that settles it.

If you want to pay top dollar to sleep next to a jet turbine, this is your place. Everyone else: stay anywhere that considers "fix the AC" a reasonable use of years of guest complaints.

Rumor is they are looking to build a sister property next to a train depot.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE LOCKWOOD HOTEL IN WATERVILLE ME
Pros:

BEAUTIFUL modern hotel with IMMACULATE rooms. My first contact was with Nick at the front desk via phone. Nick was extremely helpful in choosing a room location, view and informing us of hotel policies/perks (no smoking, check in/out times, restaurant, room service, parking, etc.). Nick was also the first person that welcomed us to the Lockwood. It was a wonderful experience. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL and I am extremely picky. Rooms were beautifully furnished, beds were like sleeping on a cloud, rainfall shower, safe, small refrigerator, desk, and in-town view (as requested). My husband and I were made to feel like welcome guests (by Nick) not just customers. Parking is ample and adjacent to the hotel. Rooms are quiet with blackout drapes, free body soap, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, shower cap, help with luggage, Wi-Fi, easy access to answers for every possible question. I hope that the General Manager realizes what an EXCEPTIONAL front desk/concierge person he has in Nick. If you are looking for an AMAZING experience in Waterville Maine call the Lockwood Hotel and ask for Nick. You will not be disappointed. Bruce & Karen Evertsen, New Jersey

The property was acceptable, but the front desk experience made the stay uncomfortable.
Pros:

The room itself was acceptable, and the location was convenient for my stay.

Cons:

I had an uncomfortable experience with one male front desk employee during my stay. He handled a routine policy issue in a dismissive and confrontational way, later made inappropriate comments about my private stay, and implied that a guest name could be flagged. The interaction felt invasive, judgmental, and unprofessional.

Hotels should enforce policies clearly while still respecting guest privacy. I hope management addresses this staff behavior seriously.

Pros:

Excellent experience! The hotel is in a convenient location with shops/restaurants/Art Center/Opera House within walking distance. Complementary on-site or valet parking. First rate amenities in room. The room design is well thought-out for comfort and convenience. The on-site restaurant, Front & Main, is pricey but dishes are beautifully prepared and presented. 10/10
