Es un exelente lugar Muy tranquilo y con una vista al mar inmejorable su hubicacion es para personas que buscan tranquilidad y paz. Se encuentra en un lugar privilegiado a solo unos pasos de la playa de huatunalco muy bonitas y tranquilas muy serca del aereopuerto. El personal de el hotel es muy amable y tienen una atencion personalizada la pizza estilo italiano preparada por su propietario es muy buena.Gracias por sus atenciones

Pros:

The hotel sits on a cliffside with a spectacularly beautiful 180 degree view of the ocean, the water pounding the rocks below, and its own semi-private little beach in a gorgeous cove.

The owners couldn’t have been more welcoming, and the food coming out of the kitchen was second to none.

What an amazing find!!

Un lugar como pocos, en la costa oaxaqueña, con las mejores vistas del mar con el sol amaneciendo y su bello atardecer.
El lugar esta ubicado en la Barra de Cuatunalco, muy cerca del aeropuerto de Huatulco, aprox. 25 mins., la mejor forma para llegar es en vehiculo rentado o propio.
Las pizzas muy deliciosas, para degustar por las tardes, en su restaurant con la mejor vista del pacífico.
La alberca de agua de mar, increíble!!
Existe una pequeña playa, donde puedes observar muchisimos peces de colores, además de caracoles y cangrejos y por supuesto remojarte con mucha seguridad.
Por supuesto, la atención de todos quienes se esmeran por atender al huesped, nos hizo sentir como en casa.
Muchísimas gracias por su hospitalidad!!!

Great view/location but very high prices, bad food, ok pizza w/US prices, poor breakfast, owner/cook cannot cook and very, very cheap with portions. Hotel understaffed, wasn't not cleaned daily, old sandpaper towels, one roll of TP! Posted rules overbearing. Every guest we encountered said "they would not return." Owner needs Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Impossible to visit her property for a consultation or should SELL!

Great sunrise and sunset views

My wife and I just spent a lovely few days at Casa Luz de Mar. The owners, Iggy and Yvonne, are lovely people. Iggy is Italian who spent his adult life in Chicago so communication is easy. There was a bit of a communication problem- which was mostly my fault- so we were upgraded to the apartment in the complex. The king size bed was very comfortable and the sheets were so soft! This resort has very few rooms and minimum staff so its important to let the owners know when you will be arriving. There is a small breakfast available as well as pasta or pizza for dinner. The thin crust pizza was a bit pricey but very good. It may be possible to ask the owners in advance to have some veggies or salad with dinner. We didnt do this so i dont know for sure. The restaurant associated with this resort is about a 10 min walk away.
Tve resort is located on a bluff overlooking the water. The rocky coast line provides an amazing view. We went to sleep at night to the sound of the surf crashing on the shore. And, boy, does it crash!
A few things to be aware of...there are a few small restaurants and a tiny tienda near by but otherwise, it would be a long walk away. There are accessible beaches within walking distance. Having the use of a car would be helpful. Also, the wifi is inconsistant. This may prevent paying with a credit card. If you are successful, you will be charged an extra 5% for processing charges.

Casa Luz de Mar is built on a point practically overhanging the ocean and has the best view in the area by far---possibly the best view in Oaxaca. My son and I loved our stay there Jan 8-10 2023. I room was simply furnished but big, very clean, and very pleasant. It had both a new air-conditioning system and a large sliding door that opened on to the balcony to catch the sea breeze. We loved the pool and the big, shady area with table, benches and hammocks beside it. The restaurant that provides breakfast is a 5 min. walk away and we loved it...fruit platter, banana bread, pancakes, fresh eggs from the owner's own chickens, bacon or ham, etc. There are good beach restaurants nearby for lunch and restaurants for dinner in the town a short walk away too. Our hosts Iggy and Yvonne were friendly, kind and immediately attentive to any issues (they cleared up a wifi problem almost immediately for example). It's not a fancy place by American or Canadian standards, but perfect for a Mexican experience. The local area and beaches are lovely too. Thoroughly glad we stayed there!

Had made a reservation through Expedia. When arrived at property they stated they never received the reservation even though I had a confirmation, with room we were to stay in. They stated they had no received a reservation so here we were in another country with no hotel accommodation. They blamed it on Expedia and Expedia blamed it on them
