Ballena Paradise Aparta Hotel

It was such a great experience! Thank you so much. For the value, customer service and location this is such a gem of a find for a place to stay that is minutes away from the Whale Tail beach. We stayed in a room that had two beds, a kitchen with fridge, microwave, pots and pans, plates and cups. Literally everything you would want it was available and made it very convenient. The pool is beautiful and was nice to sit there after a long day or before starting the day. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to stay in this area. It’s a gated area, so also very safe and has a lot for parking.

It’s difficult for me to leave only 3 stars, as the owners truly did their best to assist us—though they stopped short of offering a refund for our remaining days so we could stay elsewhere.

Positives:
The property itself is beautiful and appears to be a new build, just as advertised. The pool area is small but very lovely. The location is excellent; under a 10-minute walk to the National Park and close to several decent restaurants.

However, our stay was less than ideal:
Three out of four towels were stained, as were most of the pillowcases. We didn’t notice the stained bedsheets until late at night, so we ended up sleeping on top of them. Even more concerning was the cockroach issue. While I understand this is Costa Rica and we were on the ground floor, this was the only place we encountered cockroaches during our entire month in the country. The owners did provide us with spray, but it was unsettling. At first, they seemed to stay in the living area, but I later found one had gotten into our laundry bag—and made the trip with us to our next destination!

Secure gated facility, and walking distance to the beach!

Great apartment. Looked very new, in secure compound. Nice looking pool , though we didn't get use it. We got there too early and the room wasn't ready, but they let us leave the car in their secure car park while we went to the beach waiting for the official check in.

Well equipped and spacious

Very spacious and comfortable apartment with fans and AC units. Gated parking and walkable to beach and restaurants. Super comfortable and quiet at night too.

The apartment was really nice and spacious. I definitely recommend this place. It would be nice to have a drying rack for wet towels, etc.
The road to the apartment is dirt, so when it rains the road gets very muddy and can have lots of cars, so is tricky for walking along.

We absolutely loved our stay here. My kids had so much fun in the pool and the apartment was beautiful. Its walking distance to some great food and also the beach. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be returning.

We loved this place. We plan to be back.
All worked very well and the front dest, Elder, treated us spectacularly.

The apartment is very new with great amenities inside. The rooms are comfortable and the kitchen/living room is spacious. I fully recommend this place.

Ballena Paridise is a well designed property. It is a spacious apartment. Property is very clean and well maintained. On arrival I was given a brief orientation and a set of keys and a remote for the gate. Loved the swimming pool and the beach is a couple of minutes walk from property. If you are a fellow journey person you will also appreciate this place.

This is a nice, spacious apartment/condo. Don't let the dirt road it is on concern you...the apartment is newer and nice, and in a private gated compound. Rooms were clean and spacious (ours was a two bedroom).

Small pool available.

The pictures do not do this apart hotel justice. It is very new, clean, well stocked with kitchen appliances, tableware, and the bedrooms are nice a spacious. The AC works nicely in both bedrooms.
The parking is spacious for each unit and it's a safe let gated property.
The only items I would advise the property is to fix one of the windows so it doe lock. However, not a huge deal since it’s in a gated location

Very nice property, safe, very clean and hygienic. Staff is very courteous and extremely vigilant big on security. Don't worry area is safe. Walkable to local restaurants and national park (Parque Ballena). Park is about 8 min walk to entrance and a 3 min. walk to nearest restaurant (Mediterranean food) also another excellent choice friendly staff.

Awesome location walking distance to the beach (5 minutes). Small Apartahotel with only 8 units. Caretaker was awesome and condo was well appointed and very clean. Property is 5 years old but looks new.
