Expensive ( cheaper on Agoda) but worth the splurge after the bike ride we had especially. Cute town, worthwhile visitin

Soothing the senses
Pros:

Room design elegant and spacious. Lovely onsen. Overall aesthetic gorgeous -modern Japanese.

Cons:

No evening meal but not hard to find one nearby. Only 2 storeys but no lift -which is tricky after biking 50kms and elderly.

Hotel itself was fantastic! Very spacious rooms by Japan standards and friendly staff.

The town itself is so sleepy. Hard to find places to eat dinner.

Pleasant surprise
Pros:

Amazing. Great rooms, public baths and common room area to relax in. Very accommodating and helpful staff.

Cons:

Couldn’t check in before 4pm. After cycling 26 miles it would have been lovely to have had our from earlier.
