Great hotel and great location. Exceptional service. Ashley Valentin was extremely helpful helping me book transportation for a concert.
We extended a business trip and stayed a few extra days for a family vacation. We had a great time at Le Meridien, but had done some research beforehand to ensure there were no surprises. We had two rooms for our family of four. Per other reviews, the rooms are very tight (par for the course in NY...), but it was less expensive for us to have two rooms than a suite at other locations. There are no adjoining rooms onsite, but the staff ensured that we were next door and it worked fine for our crew. The AC in one of the rooms was loud and not always the most effective, but overall we were comfortable. Is there a lot of street noise? Yes, but again, you're in NY and NoMad is busy...
Where the hotel truly shines is the staff. Door men are the best energy and super helpful and wonderful. Maria at the restaurant treated our kids like royalty.
If the work meeting hadn't been here, we probably would have picked a neighborhood a little quieter for our crew. But all said and done, we were really happy for the five nights we were here and it actually was a really convenient home base location if you want to go all over.
Location, room size, friendliness of staff
Wouldn’t stay here again, especially not with a family. This would probably be fine for a solo traveler or a couple.
The rooms were very small and difficult to move around in.
The bathroom had NO privacy- this was definitely the biggest negative. There was no door blocking the shower from the rest of the room. So whenever anyone in our group had to shower, the others had to stay in their beds.
The air conditioning was insanely loud. It would kick on every 10 minutes with a loud roar, then turn off a few minutes later before turning on again in a cycle. It was so loud it was waking us up.
The staff were great, especially those working in the lobby, they were very friendly and welcoming.
The location was fine, we didn’t have an issue with hearing any noise from outside but our room wasn’t facing the street.
As a platinum member I was “upgraded” to a room on the 10th floor.
1. AC was louder than I knew possible. That probably would have been ok with me if it actually cooled the room. No matter how much I lowered the thermostat, it didn’t help.
2. Room didn’t have a fridge so my medications that required cooling were warm.
3. View was… none.
4. Closet in the room was completely broken.
Bottom line, room was dated, in terrible condition, and extremely disappointing for what it cost.
I won’t be staying there again.
The staff was amazing!Very helpfull!Very reassuring!Very very nice and caring!

If you’re looking for a fairly-priced Marriott property that has good service, KEEP LOOKING. The price, along with the “resort fee” or whatever they call it is ridiculous and does not match the tiny room size and the underwhelming HVAC system. The air conditioner does not go below 74 degrees in the hotter months although it reads 65 - and when you request an engineer, someone shows up and barks “What?” In a clearly exasperated tone. If you want to go order a coffee, the chef will tell you to go to the server, the server will tell you to go to the bar keeper and the bar keeper will ask why you couldn’t ask the server. Let’s just say I did not get coffee - and did not use the $20 “coupon” they gave me because it was practically worthless. This is, by far, the worst Marriott I have stayed at, let alone the worst Le Meredien. Avoid like the plague.
The helpfulness and knowledge the concierge provided.
The only taken back is housekeeping didn’t come to clean the room while we were out.
The location was perfect and the staff was super accommodating!
