Pros:

The hotel is very clean. The staff is very nice. Easy check in and check out. The room was large and was perfect for traveling with multiple people or children. The beds are comfortable and the pillows were perfect.

OK but not BEST

Location was not the best

Cons:

When we checked in the room heat & AC was offline - had to reset to the breaker in the wall. The shower the next morning leaked all over the floor and we told guest services - they offered no explanation or wrote anything down. I am sure it still leaks.

We stay here a lot and it's great. We do not like the new no-pets-alone-in-room policy.
Pros:

The staff are always wonderful to us there. They really go above and beyond, accommodating our needs with check in and out, and our dog. We come here a lot--I have a recurring health issue we come to UVA hospital for. It's great to have a "home" hotel.

Cons:

Last time we were there we were told the new policy was that we can bring a dog but not leave her alone in the room without a person. That makes zero sense for us as travelers--we can't even go out to dinner? My husband can't accompany me to my medical appointments? I don't know any pet owners for whom this policy makes any sense. The staff are lovely, but this policy means we might have to go somewhere else.
