We stay here a lot and it's great. We do not like the new no-pets-alone-in-room policy.
Pros:

The staff are always wonderful to us there. They really go above and beyond, accommodating our needs with check in and out, and our dog. We come here a lot--I have a recurring health issue we come to UVA hospital for. It's great to have a "home" hotel.

Cons:

Last time we were there we were told the new policy was that we can bring a dog but not leave her alone in the room without a person. That makes zero sense for us as travelers--we can't even go out to dinner? My husband can't accompany me to my medical appointments? I don't know any pet owners for whom this policy makes any sense. The staff are lovely, but this policy means we might have to go somewhere else.

Hidden gem. Rated 2 star but deserves higher.
Pros:

Great location
Close to food.

Cons:

Ice buildup in carpark. They did clear about 40% though. They forgot to clear a path to foot path though and wife slipped over.

Excellent budget hotel
Pros:

Bed, shower, breakfast, staff

Cons:

Not in Charlottesville but that wasn’t our goal. Having Chipotle, Crumbl, and Starbucks close at hand suited our needs very well.

Nice hotel, good value and friendly staff.
Pros:

Breakfast was good, staff was friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Rooms were not cleaned daily, generally not a problem but our trash piled up in the 2 days we were there and almost ran out of toilet paper.
