The owner is trying to keep up the property well however the location of the property is so far approx 12 KM from Mall road that you have to spent 2500 rs approx to reach mall road.
The property is located in jungle hence you can not roam outside as there is fear of tiger.
We live in for 3 days in fear.
Staff is really helpfull and support you.
Breakfast also need lot of improvement however food ordered in room is very good
Rooms are untidy or housekeeping issues you will face, property charged for basic amenities like heater or food taste is ok but it’s too expensive, u have to wait for 1hr to take a shower with lukewarm water.

My stay at The Golden Sunrise was very bad. From the moment I entered the room, I was greeted by an unsettling sight - spiders crawling along the walls. The room itself was not much better. A pervasive stench hung in the air, making it difficult to breathe comfortably. Despite attempts to air out the room, it seemed that the source of the odor was deeply ingrained. The exhaust fan, unfortunately, was of no help as it was not functioning.
After requesting a room change due to the intolerable conditions of the initial one, my companions and I were met with frustrating resistance. The staff claimed there were no vacant rooms available, despite our insistence and pleas. It took an exasperating 30 to 45 minutes of back-and-forth conversations, though they were having vacant rooms. They finally relented and provided us with an alternative room. While the second room was marginally less stinky, we were left with no other option but to accept it, given our late-night arrival.
However, our troubles did not end there. As we settled into the new room, we were immediately besieged by mosquitoes. In an attempt to alleviate the situation, we switched on the ceiling fan, only to have it start emitting a burning smell within minutes. Hastily, we turned it off and contacted the reception for assistance. Despite our repeated calls, no one came to address the issue.
As for the food, it left much to be desired. Considering the high price of the room, one would hope for a culinary experience that matched the cost, but unfortunately, that was not the case.
Overall, my experience at The Golden sunrise was disappointing, to say the least. Between the unwelcome presence of spiders, the unpleasant odor, malfunctioning amenities, mediocre food, and damp walls, it fell far short of what one would expect from a hotel of its purported caliber. I would not recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Food was good
No proper cleanliness, insects all over the room, stinky bedsheets, curtains not ensuring proper privacy, noise from kitchen, no soundproofing, no proper wifi, inconvenient hotel location, no response from reception or kitchen telecom numbers, 6000 bucks for a night too much for such a waste experience (its not worth more than 1000 bucks a night).
Very friendly caring staff, great food, comfortable rooms, lovely surroundings. The manager Amarjeet was simply great. True hospitality. special shout out to Abhishek Singh who helped us and my aged mother every day with patience and looked out for us. The chefs Arun and Abhishek were superb too for both Indian and continental food. Total value for money. The property is some 12 kms from Nainital, a little lower in altitude and has foresty surroundings! I would love to go back!
Bathrooms need separate wet and dry areas, we also needed place to dry clothes. Also it may be difficult as this is a hilly area, but a small lift would greatly ease problems of elderly and infirm to navigate

The staff was very good. The rooms were quite comfortable and clean. Couldn't have wished for more. The stay was great. All the staff members were very hospitable including the manager Mr. Amarjit.
Though the location was very nice, still on Google the distance was mentioned as 7km from the center,. Whereas it was 17km.
