We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is one of the best things about this hotel. It is located just below the viewpoint and, even better, already inside the entrance where visitors normally have to pay the 30 TL admission fee. Since the viewpoint was basically right above our hotel, we could easily walk up whenever we wanted without paying the entrance fee each time.
The hotel also has several lovely terraces and little rooftop areas with amazing views over Göreme. Watching the sunset from there was beautiful, and the early morning view was just as impressive. You can look out over the whole town, so even staying at the hotel itself felt like part of the Cappadocia experience.
Our room was a traditional cave-style family room, with vintage furniture and a very charming, authentic atmosphere. We originally booked it for four people, but two of our friends couldn’t make the trip, so in the end we had this huge family room for just the two of us. It was incredibly spacious and comfortable, and we absolutely loved the style of the room.
There is no elevator and the hotel has several levels, but this wasn’t a problem for us because the owner was very kind and helped carry our large suitcases all the way to our room.
Overall, we had a very comfortable stay and loved the atmosphere of this little cave hotel. The location, spacious room, beautiful terraces and incredible views over Göreme made it a really memorable place to stay.

We loved everything about Avilla! The staff were incredibly kind, accomodating and helpful. From local suggestions, to booking all our activities for us and to even making sure we had some breakfast on the go for our early morning flight home. We cannot recommend Avilla Cave Hotel enough for a traditional cave stay in the centre of Goreme!

We had a great time in Goreme. Our host at the hotel was extremely helpful, especially when we were trying to book the balloon ride, he was able to find an option at a very reasonable price. The location is wonderful, right on the street that goes up the hill where you can see the balloons early in the morning. Nice terrace also to see the sunset.

Tout était parfait, un bon petit déjeuner copieux et très bon, le personnel (famille) adorable, accueillant et professionnel.
À proximité du centre ville (-10min à pied)
Dans les hauteurs de Goleme, juste en dessous du point de vue pour le coucher du soleil et surtout au lever du soleil pour voir les montgolfières (le point de vue est payant mais en étant à l’hôtel Avilla c’est gratuit)

Wir haben uns als Familie im Avilla Cave Hotel sehr wohlgefühlt. Unser Höhlenappartement war wunderschön und das historische Ambiente des Hauses, das bis ins Jahr 1645 zurückreicht, macht den Aufenthalt zu etwas Besonderem. Sehr ruhig, tolle Betten, gutes Raum/Höhlenklima
Das Frühstück war genial – landestypisch, vielfältig und mit großer Auswahl, dazu die perfekte Lage - in 10 Minuten ist der perfekte Aussichtspunkt für den Ballonstart im Morgengrauen erreicht. Ohne "Maut", weil das Hotel dahinter liegt.
Ein großes Dankeschön an Metin und seine Familie für die herzliche Gastfreundschaft und die fürsorgliche Betreuung.
Ein wirklich besonderer Ort – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

The best hotel in goreme. I enjoyed the stay and host was exceptional. He spent time with us to explain the tradition and past about the place and it gives the place a depth and humanity rarely seen nowadays. The place itself is amazing with the 3 mins walk to the (free) panorama in goreme. Breakfast freshly done every morning with so much love. Highly recommend.
We loved our stay. One suggestion can be that the terrace needs a bit more accessories to give some charm and cosyness but we were out for most of the time anyway.
Location of the property was awesome. Two minutes up and you were at the top of the hill able to view the balloons, taking off at sunrise and view sunsets. Two minutes down from the hotel many good restaurants and shopping.

Location is great, right in the heart of Goreme, just under the lookout deck of the town, 5 minutes walk to the top and no need to pay tickets, 10 minutes to the main street. We can see the hot air balloons outside our room. Public area is spacious with comfortable sofa and chairs. Breakfast is good with plenty things to choose.

It was a great place with amazing staff. The location was perfect and accessible to all the city. Mr. Matin, Sina, Nashmil, and Saida made our stay memorable and fun. I highly recommend the hotel.

O hotel fica do lado de um dos principais miradouros para assistir ao pôr-do-Sol. Para ir a esse miradouro é necessário pagar uma taxa, mas quem estiver hospedado no hotel não necessita pagar!
Adorámos tomar o pequeno almoço nos alpendres com uma vista fantástica. Apenas era um bocadito trabalhoso levar o tabuleiro com a comida para os alpendres que ficavam no topo, uma vez que a cozinha ficava no piso inferior...
O anfitrião é extremamente simpático e disponível para tudo.
