Cons:

Easiest money ever earned by this hotel — without any effort or basic responsibility. We paid in full before check-in, and after that, absolute silence. Not even a single call or message to check why a paid guest didn’t show up.
But when it comes to refund? Suddenly they wake up and start hesitating.
This is not hospitality, this is just taking money and disappearing. Zero professionalism, zero accountability. If this is how you treat customers after payment, it clearly shows your standards.
Highly irresponsible. Would never recommend.

Why you should stay away from UPAR T Nagar?
Pros:

The only reason this hotel survives is due to its location right behind Pondy Bazaar. Nothing else good to say about it.

Cons:

All the beds were very low and springly. Basically it is extremely bad for your back. I had back pain after staying 3 nights.

Breakfast and bathroom facilities were very basic.

They also will make you pay for the 2% credit card charge, unless you do cash. When inquired that this charge must be absorbed by the hotel, the front desk personal just shrugs that it is their management direction.

Surely, we will never be staying here again.

Pros:

I booked a room at that hotel. The service was really good; the staff were friendly and helpful. They addressed any problems I had immediately. When I first checked into the room, I found the bed wasn't comfortable, so they changed it for me right away. However, even in the new room, the bed was the only thing that was a slight problem for me because the spring was somewhat uncomfortable sometimes. But otherwise, everything was okay. The staff were very friendly, and the cleaning services were perfect; they cleaned regularly. I had booked for three days, and they cleaned the room twice. There were no issues with that; they changed the towels and blankets. So, they kept the room clean and neat all the time, so no problems there. The only thing is that the room was too small, the space was very limited. Next, the bed was a bit problematic. If they could just fix that, everything would be perfect, like super. the location is really good. There are many food-related hotels nearby, both street food and big hotels. The parking is also spacious, so even if you come by car, you can park it there without any problems.

Pros:

Went for a vacation, but the beds were spring-based and very uncomfortable. We experienced back pain because of the bed, which is not up to hotel standards. They charged Rs 800 per day for an extra bed, but it was in poor condition and not comfortable at all.
Cons:
The bed was extremely uncomfortable.
The bathroom had a bad smell. We had to call housekeeping to clean it.

Pros:
The location was good and within walking distance to Pondy Bazaar and other nearby places.
The staff was helpful and friendly
